HomeMy WebLinkAbout2886 RESOLUTION NO. 2886 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COm~CIL OF THE CITY OF ArlCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DENYING AN APPLICATION FOR A VARIANCE TO PERi-lIT THI: OPERATION OF A PHARMACY AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF EL MONTE AVENUE AND LAS TUNAS DRIVE. THE ~ITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFOro~IA, DOES FIND, DETERl.IINE AHD RZSOLVE AS FOLLO:'!S: SECTION 1. That there was filed with the City Planning Commission on ~Brch 5, 1957, the application of G. Glenn Dollinger, as owner, for a zone variance to permit the following described property in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, state of California, to wit: That portion of Lot 67. Santa Anita Colony, as shown on map recorded in Book 42, page 87, Mis- cellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, begin- ning at the northeast corner of Las Tunas Drive and Bl j.jonte Avenue, thence North 100 feet I-lith a uniform depth of 317 feet East, to be used for the operation of a pharmacYj and that after notice as required by Ordinance No. 760 of the City of Arcadia, as amended, a public hearing was duly held by and before said Commission on the 26th day of March, 1957, which said hearing was duly continued to April 9, 1957, at which times all interested persons were given a fUll opportunity ~o be heard and to present evidence. dECTION 2. That because of the requirement that plot plans and building plans be submitted before a variance can be granted and because of the expenses involved in furnishing such plans, the applicant requested that his application be withdrawn. That thereupon at the conclusion of said hearing, said Commission adopted its certain Resolution No. 252 recommending a denial of the requested variance without prejudice to any subsequent application therefor. SECTION 3. That for the foregoing reasons, the application -1- 2886 of G. Glenn Dollinger for a variance to permit the operation of a pharmacy at the northeast corner of El f.1onte Avenue and Las Tunas Drive be, and the same is hereby denied, without prejudice to any subsequent application therefor. SECTION 4. The City Olerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
