That effective July 1, 1957, Resolution ~o. 2782 entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORiUA, APPOINTING AND EI.1PLOYING NEIL F. ANDERSQ}! AS CITY HANAGER, :JEFINING HIS DUTIES AND ESTABLISHING HIS RATE OF COH- PENSATION", amended by Resolution No. 2821 adopted November 8, 1956, be and it is hereby still further amended by amending Section 2 thereof to read as follows: "SEC'l'ION 2. That the compensation of Neil F. Anderson as City f.lanager be and the same is hereby fixcd at the rate of One t:10usand one hundred thirty-eight and nO/100 dollars ($1,138.00) per month, said ccmpensation to be paid in equal semi-monthly install- r.Jents or Five h'.mdred si;~ty-nine and nO/lOO dollars ($569.00) at the tir.Jes provided .for the payment of re[5ular city employees." SECTION 5. That effective July 1, 1957, Section 2 of Resolution No. 232'( entitled "A RRSOLUTIm! OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF T'rlE CITY OF ARCP.DIA, CALIFOFUUA, APFOIHTIi-:G JAl.1ES A. NICKLIN CITY ATTOfu'lEY, SPECIFYING HIS DUTIES AND COl-lPENSATION, AND DIRECTING THE PREFARATION OF THE ARCADIA IIIDNICIPAL CODE", ado]:.t ed January 20, 1953, amended on September 15, 1953, by Resolution No. 2432, and amended June 21, 1955, by Resolution No. 2634, be and it is hereby still further amended ~JY amending Section 2 thereof to read as foJ.lOtlS: "SECTION 2. That effective July 1, 1957, said appointee shall receive as compensation for his services the sum of Seven hundred eighty-eiEht and nO/lOO dollars ($788.00) per month, payable in equal semi-monthly installments of Three hundred ninety-four and nO/lOa dollars (~394.00) at the times provided for the payment of reeular city employees. That said appointee shall be paid additional compensation for services rendered in uctions in court, for appear- ances in hearings before administrative boards and commissions other than city boards and commissions, and for proceedinGS taken under any statutory imp~over.Jent act, and for all other matters he may be -8- 2898 ~ .. . , instructed to do and for which extra compensation is to be in an amount commensurate ~ith the value of the services rendered and in all cases shall be subject to the approval of the City Council. SECTION 6. That effective July 1,1957, Section 2 of Resolution No. 2871, entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING LAW~NCE E. COOK TO ASSIST THE CITY ATTORNEY", adopted r.Iarch 19, 1957, be and the same is hereby amended by amending Section 3 thereof to read as follows: "SECTION 3. The compensation for such services shall be Five hundred seventy-eight and nO/100 dollars ($578.00) per month, said compensation to be paid in equal semi-monthly installments of Two hundred eighty-nine and nO/lOO dollars ($289.00) at the times provided for the payment of other regular city employees. Said ap- pointee shall be accorded the same vacation and sick leave benefits as are accorded to employees in the classified service of the City of Arcadia." SECTION 7. That effective July 1, 1957, the sum of One hundred twenty-five and nO/lOO dollars (~125.00) per month be paid to the City Clerk in payment of secretarial or clerical services beyond and in addition to the duties of the City Clerk as specified in the City Charter, rendered to or upon the request of the City [.1anager. SECTION 8. That any temporary employee, at the discre- tion of the appointing power and with the approval of the City J.lanager, may be paid up to the maximum amount specified for the position thus filled by such employee, and may be paid less than the salary prescribed for a probationary or permanent employee in such position. That all part-time employees and all other employees in the unclassified service, as to which a maximum or stated compen- sation is hereinbefore specified, may be paid any sum up to and in- cluding or any sum less than the m~,imum compensation hereinbefore -9- 2898 . . . . specified. /', -- SECTION 9. That all prior resolution inconsistent in whole or in part with any of the fore~oing sections are hereby amended to conform with the provisions hereof. SECTION 10. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
