HomeMy WebLinkAbout2778 )/t RESOLUTION NO. 2778 +. ~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA CONFIRMING THE ASSESSMENT FOR THE IMPROVE- MENT OF THE FIRST ALLEY SOUTH OF FOOTHILL BOULEVARD BETWEEN WIGWAM AVENUE AND FIFTH AVENUE, THE FIRST ALLEY SOUTH OF DIAMOND STREET BETWEEN FIRST AVENUE AND SECOND AVENUE, THE FIRST ALLEY SOUTH OF LAUREL AVENUE BETWEEN SECOND AVENUE AND FIFTH AVENUE, THE FIRST ALLEY SOUTH OF FLORAL AVENUE BETWEEN NORTH VIEW AVENUE AND FIFTH AVENUE, AND SECOND AVENUE BETWEEN FOREST AVENUE AND LAUREL AVENUE, BY THE GRADING, PREPARING SUBGRADE, PAVING, AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCID~TE CURBS, GUTTERS AND APRONS, AND APPURTENANT WORK. WHEREAS, the assessment for the improvement of the first alley south of Foothill Boulevard between Wigwam Avenue and Fifth Avenue, the first alley south of Diamond Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue, the first alley south of Laurel Avenue between Second Avenue and Fifth Avenue, the first alley south of Floral Avenue between North View Avenue and Fifth Avenue, and Second Avenue between Forest Avenue and Laurel Avenue, pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 2655, was filed in the office of the City Clerk of said City on IvIay 2, 1956, and WHEREAS, all proceedings in connection therewith have been in accordance with law; and WHEREAS, at a publiC hearing on said assessment, which hearing was held on June 6, 1956, all written objections, protests and appeals thereto or therefrom were heard and con- sidered by said Council, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the assessment and diagram for the improvement of the first alley south of Foothill Boulevard be- tween Wigwam Avenue and Fifth Avenue, the first alley south of Diamond Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue, the first alley south of Laurel Avenue between Second Avenue and Fifth INDFXl=O " ,. Avenue, the first alley south of Floral Avenue between North View Avenue and Fifth Avenue, and Second Avenue between Forest Avenue and Laurel Avenue, by the grading, preparing subgrade, paving, and the construction of concrete curbs, gutters and aprons, and appur- tenant work, under Resolution of Intention No. 2655, be and the same hereby is confirmed and approved. SECTION 2. That all of said protests and objections to said assessment and all appeals therefrom to said City Council of every kind or nature be and the same hereby are overruled or denied. SECTION 3. That the street Superintendent shall forth- ) with attach a warrant to said assessment bearing the date of this order. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
