RESOLUTION NO. 2790
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
FIXING THE MAXIMUM RATES CHARGEABLE
FOR THE COLLECTION AND REMOVAL OF
GARBAGE AND REFUSE IN THE CITY OF
ARCADIA.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES DETER-
MINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 941 of
the City of Arcadia, the City Council of the City of Arcadia does hereby
fix, determine and establish the following maximum rates for the collec-
tion and removal of garbage and refuse in the City of Arcadia. The rates
thus fixed and determined shall remain in effect until modified by the
City Council by resolution.
SECTION 2. Residential Establishments: Single Family Dwellings,
Duplexes and Triplexes.
a. Regularly scheduled pickups from curb or alley:
Garbage only, twice weekly, 50 cents per month per dwelling unit.
Tin cans and bottles only, weekly, 50 cents per month per dwelling unit.
Combustible rubbish and ashes, not to exceed one loose cubic yard or 100
pounds picked up weekly at curb or alley, $1.50 per month'per dwelling
unit for such service on an annual basis.
Garbage (twice weekly), tin cans and bottles (weekly), 75 cents per month
per dwelling unit.
Tin cans and bottles, and combustible rubbish and ashes, weekly, $2.00
per month per dwelling unit,
Garbage (twice weekly), tin cans and bottles and combustible rubbish and
ashes (weekly), $2.25 per month per dwelling unit.
b. Regularly scheduled pickups from rear yard, where the dis-
tance between place of garbage or refuse and the nearest public street
or alley is 150 feet or less:
Garbage only, twice weekly, $1.50 per month per dwelling unit.
Tin cans and bottles only, weekly, $1.'50 per month per dwelling unit.
Combustible rubbish and ashes, not to exceed one loose cubic yard or 100
pounds picked up weekly, $4.00 per month per dwelling unit for such serv-
ice on an annual basis,
Garbage (twice weekly), tin cans and bottles (weekly), $2.25 per month
per dwelling unit.
Tin cans and bottles, and combustible rubbish and ashes, weekly, $4.50
per month per dwelling unit.
Garbage (twice weekly), tin cans and bottles and combustible rubbish and
ashes (weekly), $6.00 per month per dwelling unit.
c. Special Pickup for Materials Already Assembled: not to
exceed $1.50 per loose'cubic yard or per 100 pounds or fraction thereof,
with a minimum of $6.00 per pickup.

SECTION 3. Residential Establishments: Apartment Houses, as de-
fined in Section 2, Ordinance No. 760, City of Arcadia: For regularly
scheduled pickup, from yard, alley or driveway, of garbage, tin cans, bot-
tles, household papers, residential combustible and non-combustible rubbish
as defined and described in Ordinance No. 941, twice weekly, $1.00 per unit
per month to be paid by owner of premises.
SECTION 4. Commercial establishments, garbage only.
a. Wet Garbage:

b. Dry garbage (market greens and vegetable cuttings )':
For each collection, 15 cents per container, containers not to exceed 50
pounds gross weight.
SECTION 5. Definitions.
a. "Regularly scheduled pickup", as used in this Resolution,
shall mean the pickup .at the times and dates specified by the City Manager
pursuant to Ordinance No. 941.
b. "Special Pickup", as used in this Resolution, shall mean the
pickup other than at the times and dates specified by the City Manager pur-
suant to Ordinance No. 941, and pickups for purposes not normally arising
out of the day-to-day operation of a residential establishment.
SECTION 6. That Resolution No. 2725 be and the same is hereby
repealed.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the
7th day of August, '1956, by the affirmative vote of at least three Council-
men, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Jacobi, Phillips, Reibold and Dennis
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Camphouse
