RESOLUTION NO. 2792
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARCADIA, CALlFORNIA, DETERMINING
THAT THE PUBLIC WELFARE, INTEREST,
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE
ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR
A PUBLIC.PURPOSE, TO WIT, OFF-STREET
MOTOR VEHICLE PARKING PLACES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIAj CALIFORNIA, DOES
DETERMINEj DECLARE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby find, deter-
mine and declare that the public welfare, convenience, interest and
necessity require the acquisition of the real property hereinafter
described for the purpose of constructing and maintaining off-street
motor vehicle parking places and ingress thereto and egress there-
from. That the City of Arcadia is a Municipal Corporation, to wit,
a charter city of the County of Los Angeles, State of California.
That the purpose for which it is proposed to acquire the property
hereinafter described is a publiC purposej that the acquisition of
property for and the construction and maintenance of off-street
motor vehicle parking places and ingress thereto and egress the~e-
from is a publiC improvement and that such publiC improvement has
been planned and located in a manner that is compatible with the
greatest public good and the least private injuryj that the acquisi-
tion of the property hereinafter described for the purpose hereinbe-
fore set forth is authorized by law.
SECTION 2. That the City Council of the City of Arcadia
hereby finds, determines and declares that the public interest and
necessity require, for the purpose hereinbefore set forth, the acqui-
sition, by the City of Arcadia in its name, of the real property and
the interests in real property hereinafter described, and the City
Council hereby declares that it is the intention of the City to

acquire in its name, by condemnation in accordance with the provi-
sions of the Code of Civil Procedure and the Constitution of the
state of California authorizing the exercise of the right of eminent
domain by a city, the real property and the interests in real prop-
erty hereinafter set forth for the purpose hereinbefore set forth.
SECTION 3. That the City Attorney of the City of Arcadia
be and he is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to prepare,
institute and prosecute in the name of the City of Arcadia such
proceedings, in the proper court having jurisdiction thereof, as
are necessary for such acquisition.
SECTION 4. That the real property or interests,.in real
property which the City of Arcadia proposes to acquire and by this
Resolution declares necessary to acquire for the purpose hereinbe-
fore set forth and for the acquisition of which the City Attorney of
the City of Arcadia is by this Resolution authorized, empowered and
directed to prepare, institute and prosecute proceedings. is the
fee title in and to the real property particularly described as fol-
lows:

89, Official Records of Los Angeles County.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia,
held on the 3rd
day of July

of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
