HomeMy WebLinkAbout2795 RESOLUTION NO. 2795 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING CERTAIN STREETS AS THROUGH STREETS, CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS OF PUBLIC STREETS AS STOP INTERSECTIONS AND CERTAIN PLACES AND ZONES AS NO PARKING ZONES AND LIMITED PARKING ZONES. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOV!S: SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 35 of Ordinance No. 728, the following streets in the City of Arcadia are hereby de- scribed and designated as one-way streets: Easterly drive of Santa Anita Avenue in a northerly di- rection only; Westerly drive of Santa Anita Avenue in a southerly di- rection only. SECTION 2. That pursuant to Section 37 of said Ordinance No. 728, the following streets in the City of Arcadia are hereby de- scribed and designated as through streets: The intersection of any street with Baldwin Avenue; The intersection of any street with Colorado Boulevard; The intersection of any street with Colorado Street; The intersection of any street with Colorado Place; The intersection of any street with Duarte Road; The intersection of any street with El Monte Avenue; The intersection of any street with Foothill Boulevard; The intersection of any street with Holly Avenue; The intersection of any street with Huntington Boulevard; The ~ntersection of any street with Huntington Drive; The intersection of any street with Huntington Place, ex- cept Santa Anita Avenue; The :Lntersec tion of any street with Las' Tunas Drive; The intersection of any street with Live Oak Avenue; The intersection of any street with Santa Anita Avenue; '- -1- ''l9~J\I;~ 2795 The intersection of any street with Sierra Madre Boule- vard west of Santa Anita Avenue; The intersection of any street with First Avenue, except Camino Real; The intersection of any street with Second Avenue, except Foothill Boulevard and Colorado Boulevard; , - ..--~ Cv1M-l~l<..X..- ; 1..-,.-7- (LM'1Z3~"'3 'IV..... ~v (0 SECTION 3. That pursuant to Section 37 of eaid Ordinance , ~<.. No. 728, the following intersections of public streets in the City ~ t!. 3~4'2.. of Arcadia are hereby designated as stop intersections: ~ The intersection of First Avenue with Camino Real for ~I ~)Ji1 vehicles entering Camino Real; The intersection of any street with Orange Grove Avenue west of Santa Anita Avenue. The intersection of Sunset Boulevard with Arcadia Avenue; The intersection of Sunset Boulevard with Fairview Avenue for vehicles entering Sunset Boulevard; The intersection of Golden West Avenue with Arcadia Avenue for vehicles intering Golden West; The intersection of Golden West Avenue with Fairview Ave- nue for vehicles entering Golden West Avenue; The intersection of Diamond Street with First Avenue; The intersection of Diamond Street with Santa Anita Avenue; The intersection of Longden Avenue with Sixth Avenue; The intersection of Santa Anita Avenue with Wisteria Ave- nue for vehicles entering Santa Anita Avenue, and for vehicles southbound on Santa Anita; The intersection of St. Joseph Street with Flower Street and with Front Street; The intersection of Fourth Avenue with Camino Real for vehicles entering Camino Real; The intersection of Sixth Avenue with Camino Real. SECTION 4. That pursuant to Section 69 of said Ordinance No. 728, the following places and zones are hereby designated as one- hour limited parking zones, at or in which no person shall stand, stop or park any vehicle between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. of any day except Sundays and holidays for a period longer than one hour: Huntington Drive; -2- 2195 First Avenue between st. Joseph Street and Duarte Road; Sunset Avenue between Fairview Avenue and Huntington Drive; Golden West Avenue between Fairview Avenue and Huntington Drive; Baldwin Avenue between Naomi Avenue and Huntington Drive; Duarte Road between Baldwin Avenue and Lovell Avenue. SECTION 5. That pursuant to Section 71 of said Ordinance No. 728, the following places and zones are hereby designated as two-hour limited parking zones, at or in which no person shall stand, stop or park any vehicle between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. of any day except Sundays and holidays for a period longer than two hours: \fueeler Street. SECTION 6. That pursuant to Section 71 of said Ordinance No. 728, the following places and zones are hereby designated as zones, at or in which no person shall at any time park any vehicle: Colorado Place; The north side of Huntington Boulevard between Baldwin Aven~e and Holly Avenue; The north side of Huntington Place; The north side of Colorado Street. SECTION 7. Subject to the approval of the Division of Highways of the State of California, and only during the time of construction of bridges over flood control channels near the inter- section of Huntington Drive and Colorado Place, and while stop signs are maintained thereat in accordance with Section 471 of the Vehicle Code, the northerly intersection of Huntington Drive with the inter- section of Huntington Boulevard is designated as a stop intersection for east and westbound traffic on Huntington Drive, and that while the foregoing provision is applicable, the intersection of Hunting- ton Drive and Colorado Place shall not be a stop ip.tersection for eastbound and westbound traffic on Colorado Place. -3- 2795 SECTION 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
