RESOLUTION NO. 2796
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
REQUESTING RENEWAL OF AGREEMENT WITH
LOS ANGELES COUNTY SUPERVISORS FOR
ALLOCATION OF RECREATION FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City of Arcadia has, during the fiscal year
1955-1956, conducted a recreation program within the City of Ar-
cadia, using school grounds as centers for community recreation;
and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los
Angeles, having determined that the public interest would be served
by County participation in the development and financing of a com-
munity recreation program within the City of Arcadia, provided funds
for this purpose during the fiscal year 1955-1956, under a Community
Recreation Contract between the County and the City; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Arcadia desires and intends to con-
tinue and to develop said community recreation program and has allo-
cated funds therefor in the amount of Forty-three thousand six hun-
dred forty-nine dollars ($43,649.00) for the fiscal year 1956-1957;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES' HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles
County be and it is hereby requested to renew said agreement for the
1956-1957 fiscal year and to allocate to the City of Arcadia funds
in the amount of Four thousand four hundred fifty-four dollars
($4,454.00) to assist in the conduct of said community recreation
program.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
