RESOLUTION NO. 2600
A RESOLUTION OF TP~ CITY COD-rrCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARCA.DIA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT
WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL
DISTRICT AND ORTIERING THE DEPOSIT OF FUNDS
IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
DOES DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Dublic health, welfare and interest
require the execution of a'contract with the Los Angeles County
Flood Control District for the inclusion of certain betterments to
bridges and streets in connection with the proposed improvement of
the Arcadia Wash Channel from the Rio Hondo Channel to Huntington
Place, and the payment to said District by the City of the cost of
such betterments.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are
hereby authorized and directed to execute, for and on behalf of the
City of Arcadia, a contract with the Los Angeles County Flood Con-
trol District for said purposes, in the form approved by the City
Attorney and submitted herewith.
SECTION 3. The City Manager shall cause to be deposited
with said District in accordance with the contract hereby authorized,
the SUD of Fifty-four thousand eight hundred eighty-four dollars
. ($54,884.00), and the appropriate city officers are herepy directed
to execute and deliver unto him a warrant in said amount for such
purpose and to charge the same against the following accounts:
Council Contingency Fund
$ 4,880.00
Major Improvelmnt Budget
50,000.00
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted

at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 1st day of
March, 1955, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen,
to-wit:

Phillips
