HomeMy WebLinkAbout2642 RESOLUTION NO. 2642 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ALTER OR REMOVE SETBACK LINES HERETOFORE ESTABLISHED ON PORTIONS OF DUARTE ROAD AND SECOND AVENUE IN SAID CITY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience re- quire and it is the intention of the City Council to alter or remove the setback lines of Duarte Road and Second Avenue in, at and upon the following property abutting Duarte Road and Second Avenue in said City, to-wit: Lots 7 to 18, inclusive and Lot 21, and the south half of the vacated alley adjoining on the north, and Lots 19 and 20, Block 62, Santa Anita Tract, as per map recorded in Book 16, page 58, of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County; Lots 1 and 2, Block 6l~, and Lots 3 to 6, in- clusive, and the south half of the vacated alley adjoining on the north, Block 61~, Santa Anita Tract, as per map recorded in Book 16, page 58, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles CountYj Lots 13 and 14, except the southerly 250 feet thereof; Lot 15, except the southerly 326 feet thereof; and Lot 33, except the easterly 50 feet thereof and except the southerly 80 feet thereof, Tract No. 808, as per map recorded in Book 16, pages 82 and 83, of Map Records of Los Angeles County; Lot 4, Tract No. 10532, as per map recorded in Book 1'77, pages 21 and 22, of Map Records of Los Angeles County. SECTION 2. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, July lq, 1955, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. of said day, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of said City, located at 240 West Hunting- ton Drive, Arcadia, California, any and all persons having any objections to the said proposed alteration or removal of setback lines may appear before said Council and show cause why said ,....I~\ ~.;'- - 1 - 2642 setback lines should not be altered or removed in accordance with this Resolution. SECTION 3. The Superintendent of Streets shall post or cause to be posted the notices required by Ordinance No. 229 of the City of Arcadia. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of Arcadia.
