JOSEPH STREET FROM FIRST AVENUE TO SECOND AVENUE AND THE FIRST ALLEY SOUTH OF COLORADO BOULEVARD BET,ffiEN SANTA ANITA AVENUE AND SECOND AVENUE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2395. . WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arcadia, on the 7th day of July, 1953, passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention, being Resolution No. 2395, to order the work described therein to be done, which said resolution of intention duly and legally was pub- lished as required by law, and protests having been filed by the owners of the property to be assessed for said improvement prior to the time set in said resolution of intention for filing protests, and having been heard and overruled by the City Council: . NOW, TH~{EFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require, and the City Council of the City of Arcadia hereby orders, the work described in said Resolution of Intention to be done in . the first alley south of St. Joseph Street from First Avenue to Second Avenue and the first alley south of Colorado Boulevard between Santa Anita Avenue and Second Avenue, all within the City of Arcadia, by the 8rading, preparing subgrade, paving, and pavement of concrete gutters and aprons on said alleys and appurtenant work thereto. SECTION 2. The City Clerk hereby is directed to post a notice for 5 days on or near the door of the Council Chamber of the City Hall inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered and referring to the specifications on file and to publish a notice inviting such proposals for 2 days in the Arcadia Bulletin , a newspaper published and circulated in the City of . INDEXED :l. ill . Arcadia, the first of which publications shall be not less than 10 days before the date said bids are to be opened. SECTION 3. Reference hereby is made to said Resolution of Intention for a description of the work, the assessment district, the bonds to be issued and for further particulars. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be . in full force and effect.
