A RESOLUTIO~ OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA FIXING THE TAX LEVY FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES FOR THE FISCAL ~~AR 1953-54 UPON ALL THE TAY~BLE PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOrlS: SECTION 1. 'rhat there shall be and there is here'Ly levied for municipal purposes for the fiscal year 1953-54 upon each ONE HUNDRED I ($100.00) DOLLARS worth of assessed valuation of taxable property w1thin the City of Arcadia (provided that no property within any . territory heretofore annexed to the City of Arcadia shall be taxed to pay any portion 0: the principal or interest on bonds of the City of Arcadia outstanding on the date of such annexation except those pro- perties included in the territories designated as "West Arcadia Annexll, IIWest Arcadia Annex No.211, 1I\>lest Arcadia Annex No.411, which . shall be taxed e~~lly with all other property within the City of Arcadia t:l pay thl~ bonded indebtedness of the City outstanding for 1946 se-;rer bonds heretofore authorized and issued by the City of Arcadia and any indebtedness heretofore authorized and to be repre- sentcd by bonds of the City of Arcadia hereafter to be issued, as provided respectively in Ordinance No.64l adopted April 15, 1947, Ordinance No.651 adopted June 3, 1947, and Ordinance No;759 adopted March 15, 1949, and excepting those properties included in the territory designated as "Hest Arcadia Annex No.7", wh1ch shall be taxed equally with all other property within the City of Arcadia to pay the bonded indebtedness of the City outstanding on the date of such annexation for 1914 street Bonds, 1914 Water Bonds, 1919 . Water Bonds, 1924 Street Bonds, 1927 Water Bonds, 1929 Library Bonds and 1946 sewer bonds theretofore authorized and issued by the City of Arcadia, as provided in Ordinance No. 848 adopted Ma~' 20, 1952), a tax as follows: . For all municipal purposes, exclusive of the payment of taxes for publiC library purposes, City planning, recreation and parks, payment of principal and interest on bonded indebtedness of the 'City, and payment of the obligation of the City for employees' retirement, under provisions of the 6alifornia State Employees' Retirement Act, -1- ~):;.u~ .2.'1J;3 . the sum of $0.766; For the purpose of payment of contribution ~f the City of Arcadia to State Employees' Retirement System, the sum of $0.078; For the purpose of supporting and defraying the expense of the publiC Library of said City of Arcadia, the sum of $0.113; For the purpose of paying the principal and interest of all general obligation bonds of the City, except the 1946 Sewer Bonds, the sum of $0.064; For t~e purpose of paying the principal and interest of "1946 Sewer Bonda", the sum of $0.030; For the purpose of supporting and defraying the expense of the City's Recreation program, the sum of $0.037; For the purpose of supporting and defraying the expense of the City Planning Commission of the City ~f Arcadia, the sum of $0.012; That the rate of taxes necessary to be levied for the fiscal year 1953-54 for defraying the expense of maintenance and operation of the lighting and maintenance districts of said City shall be, and the same is hereby fixed, established and levied (pursuant to Section 18730 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California) at the following rate, upon each ONE HUNDRED ($100.00) DOLLARS of the assessed valuation of taxable land, exclusive of improvements, in each district: District No.1, the sum of $0.52391; District No.2, the sum of $0.23796; District No.3, the sum of $0.22381; District No. 4, the sum of $0.23362. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in this City, within fifteen (15) days after the date of its adoption. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopt- ed at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the 4th day of August, 1953, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to-wit: . . . . -2- .j.
