A RESOLUTIOlT OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING
OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN SAID CITY ON
THE 13TH DAY OF APRIL,1954, DESIGNATING THE OFFICES
TO BE FILLED AT SAID ELECTION; PROVIDING FOR THE
POLLING PLACES FOR THE HOLDING OF SUCH AN ELECTION,
APPOINTING THE ELECTION OFFICERS FOR THE SAME AND
FIXING THEIR COMPENSATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That a General ~unicipal election be and the same
is hereby called to be held in the City of Arcadia, State of California,
on Tuesday, tIle 13th day of April, 1954, for the following purposes:
1 - For the purpose of electing the following officers, to-wit:
Three (3) m\lmbers of the City Council of said City of Arcadia to
hold office for the full term or period of four (4) years from and
after the 13th day of April, 1954.
2 - One (1) City Clerk of said City of Arcadia to hold office
for the unexpired term or period of two (2) years from and after the
13th day of April, 1954.
SECTION 2. That for the purpose of holding said election there
. shall be and are here~y established twenty (20) election precincts
designated as hereinafter stated. That the polling places for the re-
spective precincts shall be the place hereinafter designated, and that
the persons hereinafter named, being competent and qualified electors
and residents of said City, and of their respective election precincts,
are hereby appointed officers of election for their respective election
precincts, and they shall hold said election and make return thereof
in the manner provided by law.
Voting Precinct A, comprising state and county precincts Nos.I,
~ 47, 52 and 68, and the pOlling place shall be at Zimmerman's residence,
74 W. Woodland Lane.

SECTION 3. That the polls for said election shall be opened
at 7:00 o'clock A.M. on the day of said election and shall remain
open continuously from said time until 7:00 o'clock P.M. of the said day.
SECTION 4. That said general municipal election shall be held
in accordance with the provisions of the City Charter of the City cf
Arcadia and in accordance with the provisions of the Election Code
of the State of California pertaining to Cities of the Sixth Class so
far as the same ar'e n~t in conflict with said City Charter.
SECTION 5. That the conpensation to be paid to each Inspector
hereinabove mentioned for all services by each Inspector to be rendered
at said general wlnicipal election shall be and the same is hereby fix-
ed at the sum of 'fWELVE ($12.00) DOLLARS. That the compensation to be
paid to each of the other aforesaid officers of election for all ser-
vices rendered by each of laid other officers at said general municipal
election shall be and the same is hereby fixed at the sum of TEN ($10.00)
. DOLLARS.
SECTION 6. That said City Council will meet in the Council
Chambers of the Ctty Hall on Tuesday, April 20, 1954, at the hour of
8:00 o'clock P.M., to canvass the returns of said election and de-
clare the results thereof.
SECTION 7.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution. ;

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held
. on the 2nd day of March, 1954, by the affirmative vote of at least
three Councilmen, to-wit:
