HomeMy WebLinkAbout2378 - " ~ "-w . RESOLUTION NO. 2378 A REOOLUTION OF THE CITY CDUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCAllA, CAUFORNIA, ACCEPTING DEEDS FOR PUBLIC STREET AND ALLEY PURPOSES. . THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCAllA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City of Arcadia does hereby accept from Horace S. Eldredge and Miriam L. Eldredge, husband m d wife; and Don P. Nebeker and Thelma J. Nebeker, lmsband and wife, a grant deed . to the City of Arcadia, dated February 25, 1954, for street and alley purposes in, on end upon the southerly 5 feet of Lot 5, and the Northerly 15 feet of Lots 6 and 7;7Block 2, Tract 4129, as per map recorded i~ Book 75, Pages 48 and 49 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County. SECTION 2. That the City of Arcadia does hereby accept from Fred . w. Griesinger and Nellie B. Griesinger, husband and wife, a grant deed to the City of Arcadia, dated February 24, 1953, for street and alley purposes in, on and upon the northerly 15 feet of Lot 12, and the Northerly 15 feet of the WeElterly 10 feet of Lot 13, Block 2, Tract 4129, City of Arcadia, as per map recorded in Book 75, Pages 48, and 49 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County. SECTION 3. That the City of Arcadia does hereby accept from Mina Gayloma grant deed to the City of Arcadia, dated February 24, 1953, for street and alley purposes in, on m d upon the Northerly 15 feet of Lot 13 except the ~lest ten feet of said Lot 13, Block 2, Tract 4129, City of Arcadia, as per map recorded in Book 75, Pages 48 and 49 of Maps, in . the office of the County Recorder of said County. SECTION 4. That the City of Arcadia does hereby accept from Celeste Construction Co., a co-partnership, consisting of Ronald G. Doe, an unmarried man, and Robert C. Picld.ng, a married man, dated May 26, 1953, for street and alley purposes in, on and upon the North 15 feet of the Easterly 30 ft. of Lot 10 of Block 2 of Tract 4129, as per map recorded in Book 75, Pages 48 and 49 of Maps, i.n the office of the County Recorder of said County. Bishop, husband and wife, a grant deed to the City of Arcadia, dated ~arch 11, 1953, for street and alley purposes in, on and upon the Southerly 5 feet of Lot 14, Block 2, Tract 41.29, City of Arcadia, as per .map recorded in Book 75, Pages 48 and 49 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County. SECTION 6. That the City of Arcadia does hereby accept from Howser, Ltd., a Partnership, by Fred N. Howser, General Partner, a grant deed to the City of Arcadia, dated February 17, 1953, for street and alley purposes in, on andupon the Northerly 15 feet of the Westerly 20 feet of Lot 10, and the Northerly 15 feet of Lot 9, except the Westerly 5 feet; of Block 2, Tract 4129, City of Arcadia, as per map recorded in Book 75, Pages 48 and 49 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County. SECTION 7. That the City of Arcadia does hereby accept from William R. Graham and Jennie Mae Graham, husband and wife, a grant deed to the City of Arl:adia, dated March 23, 1953, for street and alley purposes in, on and upon the northerly 15 feet of Lot 8, and the Northerly 15 feet of the Westerly 5 feet of Lot 9, Block 2, Tract 4129, City of Arcadia, as per map recorded 1n Book 75, Pages 48 and 49 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County. SECTION 8. That the City of Arcadia does hereby accept from Harry Sherman and Esther Sherman, husband and wife, a grant deed to the City of Arcadia, dated February 24, 1953, for street and alley purposes in, on and upon the Northerly 15 feet of Lot 11, Block 2, Tract 4129, City of Arcadia, as per map recorded in Book 75, Pages 48 and 49 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County. SECTION 9. That each of the foregoing deeds are accepted for, and the property therein described shall constitute a public alley in t he City of Arcadia to be co:nmonly known and referred to as the first alley North of Foothill Boulevard, between Oakwood Drive and First Avenue, public streets in the City of Arcallia, County of Los Angeles, State of California. SECTION 10. l'he City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof to be recorded . . . 2. .;I.. 3,/[i' 1 ~ ~. .I. in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, together with each of the above described deeds.
