RESOLUTION NO. 3924 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING TO THE CO~~NCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ARCADIA OF CONTIGUOUS INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS ANNEXATION NO. 40, WEST ARCADIA INHABITED. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The legislative body of the City of Arcadia having received a report or recommendation from the Arcadia City Planning Commission concerning the territory hereinafter described and its proposed annexation to the City of Arcadia, pursuant to and as required by Sections 35107 and 35108 of the California Govern- ment Code, the City Council of the City of Arcadia does hereby con- sent to the annexation to the City of Arcadia, pursuant to the Annexation Act of 1913, of all or any portion of the property hereby desigo&edas Annexation No. 4~ West Arcadia Inhabited, which ter- ritory is bounded and specifically described as follows: -1- A.~NEXATION NO. 40 WEST ARCADIA BOUNDARY ,DESCRIPTION Beginning at the intersection of the southerly boundary of City of Pasadena, as same existed on Janusry 25, 1967 and the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of Lot 3, of Sierra Mountain View Tract as shown on Licensed Surveyors Map recorded in Book 15, page 33 of, Record Surveys in the offiee of the Recorder 'of Los Angeles County. thence southerly along said prolongation and said westerly lot line and continuing southerly along the southerly prolongation of said westerly lot line to the northerly line of the Santa Fe Railroad right of way 60 feet wide as shown on said map. thence westerly along said right-of-way to the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of the'easterly 48.95 feet of Lot 8 of Tract No. 901 as per map recorded in Book 16, pages 174 and 175 of maps in the office of,said recorrer. thence southerly parallel with the northerly prolongation of the easterly line of said Lot 8 and said easterly line to the northerly line of Tract No. 9370 as per map recorded in Book l25, pages 23 and 24 of maps in the office of said recorder; thence easterly along 'said tract line to the easterly line of Beacon Place 50 feet wide, as shown on map of said Tract No. 9370, thence southerly along last said 'easterly line and its southerly prolongation to the northerly line of Colorado Street 90 feet wide as shown on map of said Tract No. 9370; thence easterly along said northerly street line to its intersection with the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of Lot 7 of Tract No. 4613 as per map in Book 50, page l7 of maps in the office of said recorder; thence southerly along said prolongation and westerly line to the southwest corner of last mentioned lot; thence southerly'in a dire~t line to the southwest corner of Lot 40 of said Tract No. 4613; thence easterly along the southerly line of last mentioned lot l2.4 feet more or less to the westerly line of the easterly 212.40 feet of Lot l8 of previously mentioned Tract No. 90l; then~e southerly parallel with the easterly line of last mentioned lot to the northerly line of the southerly 140.70 feet thereof; thence easterly 36.10 feet parallel with the Goutherly line of said Lot 18; thence southerly along said prolongation and westerly line and its southerly prolongation to the southerly line of the abandoned Southern Pacific Railroad right of way as shown on map of Tract No. 19350 recorded in Book 498, pages 31 and 32 of maps in the office of said recorder; thence westerly along said right of way to the north east corner, of said Tract 19350; thence southerly along said tract boundary and its southerly prolongation to the northerly line of Fairview Avenue 50 feet wide as shown on last mentioned map; thence easterly along said Avenue to the northerly prolongation of the easterly line of Lot 78 of Tract 4850 as per map recorded in Book 52, pages 11 , and 12 of maps in the office of said recorder; thence southerly along said prolongation and easterly lot line and its southerly prolongation to the southeast corner of Lot 57 of said Tract 4850; thence southerly in a direct line to the northeast corner of lot 52 of said Tract No. 4850; thence southerly along the easterly line of said lot 52 and its southerly prolongation to the southeas~ corner of Lot 31 of said Tract No. 4850; thence southerly in a direct line to the north east corner of Lot 26 of said Tract No. 4850; thence southerly along the easterly line of said Lot 26 to the south east corner thereof; thence easterly 20 feet along the northerly line of Lot 2 of said Tract No. 4850; thence southerly parallel with the westerly line of said lot 2 and its southerly prolongation to the southerly line of Lot 1 of said Tract No. 4850; thence easterly along the southerly line of last mentioned lot 1 to tha northerly prolongation of the westerly line of the easterly 11.79 feet of Lot 9 of Sunny Slope Vineyards Subdivision No. 2 per map recorded in Book 10, page 18l of maps in the office of said recorderi thence southerly along last said pro- longation and westel:1y line to the northerly line of the southerly 228 feet of last said Lot 9; The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause the proposal for the annexation for said territory to be filed with the Local Agency Formation Commission of Los Angeles County pursuant to Chapter 6.6, Part 1, Division 2, Title 5 of the California Government Code.
