RESOLUTION NO. 3925
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY
F~OOD CONTROL DISTRICT TO PROCEED WITH
CONSTRUCTION OF MONROVIA PROJECT NO.
5601, 19~ STORM DRAIN BOND ISSUE.
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for the construction
of Monrovia Project No. 5601, 1964 Storm Drain Bond Issue, Foothill
Boulevard and Fifth Avenue in the Cities of Arcadia and Monrovia have
been prepared and for which bids will be received by said District on
February 24, 1967; and,
WHEREAS, the said Flood Control District has requested that
the Arcadia City Council formally approve said plans and specifica-
tions, authorize said District to proceed with the construction as
described therein, and grant permission to occupy and use the public
streets in the City of Arcadia to construct, operate and maintain said
installations; and,
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Flood Control Act requires
that such approval be obtained before the construction contract be
let;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the plans and Specifications for the Con-
struction of Monrovia Project No. 5601, 1964 Storm Drain Bond Issue,
Foothill Boulevard and Fifth Avenue, in the Cities of Arcadia and
Monrovia be and the same are hereby approved.
SECTION 2. That the Los Angeles County Flood Control Dis-
trict be and it is hereby authorized to proceed with the construction

as described therein, and permission is hereby granted for said Dis-
trict to occupy and use, for the 'construction, operation and main-
tenance of said installations, the public streets in the City of
Arcadia in which said installations are to be constructed.
SECTION 3. The Director of Public Works is hereby directed
to prepare and to furnish to said District a cost estimate for any
work to be performed by the City in connection with said Project, if
the same has not already been so prepared and furnished.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof to be for-
warded to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held
on the 7th day of February
, 1967, by the affirmative vote of
at least three Councilmen, to wit:
