HomeMy WebLinkAbout3880 RESOLUTION NO. 3880 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, OPPOSING CURBSIDE DELIVERY OF MAIL BY THE UNITED STATES POSTOFFICE. WHEREAS, it has come to the attenti9\ of e City Council of the City of Arcadia that the United States pos~O fice Department by regulation is denying door to door services to homes provided at built in new subdivisions unless a rural t the curb by each home owner; and, ~ WHEREAS, by this arbitrar~u ation subdivisions in requiring UndergrO~d u ilities trated; and, the work done in new WHEREAS, destroy the aesthetic beauty is completely frus- which the City has in its new subdivisions; and, WHEREAS, policy on the part of the Post Office Department is rank dis imination against new home owners who will be forced to put ype mailboxes in front of their new homes which is not demand her property owners; and, WHEREAS, cation of mailboxes at curbside will increase the temptation pilfer the United States mail; ORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of lifornia, does hereby go on record as opposing the requiring curbside mailboxes and does agencies and parties in encouraging that ction be taken to bring about a reversal of the curbside e by the United States Post Office Department.
