HomeMy WebLinkAbout3721 RESOLUTION NO. 3721 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING FROM THE BOARD OF SUPER- VISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES CERTAIN GASOLINE TAX FUNDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF SECOND AVENUE BETWEEN FOOTHILL BOULEVARD AND LAUREL AVENUE, PUBLIC STREETS IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arcadia deems it necessary that a portion of Second Avenue between Foothill Boulevard and Laurel Avenue, publiC streets in the City of Arcadia, be improved in the manner and to the extent hereinafter more fully described; and, WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has available for use by the City of Arcadia certain gasoline tax funds for the improvement of such streets and highways; NOW. THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA. DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles be and they are hereby requested to appropriate from said gasoline tax funds the s.urn of Fifteen Thousand and nO/100 Dollars ($15,000.00) for the purpose of improving a portion of Second Avenue between Foothill Boulevard and Laurel Avenue lying within the City of Arcadia, in the following manner, to wit: Construction of curbs, gutters, pavement, driveways, drainage facilities, traffic signal modification and other appurtenant work. SECTION 2. That all of the work.in the project herein- above set forth shall be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the County Road Depart- ment of the County of Los Angeles and approved by the City Engineer and the City Council of the City of Arcadia. -1- 3721 .~ SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause a copy of the same to be for- warded to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and to the Road Commissioner of the County of Los Angeles. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on the 6TH day of OCTOBER , 1964, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: AYES: COUNCILMEN BALSER, CONSIDINE, FORMAN, REIBOLD AND TURNER NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ~~~/~~ SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6TH day of OCTOBER, 1964.
