HomeMy WebLinkAbout3730 RESOLUTION NO. 3730 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, FINDING AND DECLARING THAT A MAJORITY PROTEST HAS NOT BEEN MADE WITH RESPECT TO ANNEXATION NO. 33 WEST ARCADIA UNINHABITED. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Arcadia adopted its certain Resolution No. 3711 wherein and whereby, among other things, Tuesday, November 3, 1964 at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber of the Arcadia City Hall, 240 West Hunt- ington Drive, Arcadia, California, was fixed as the day, hour and . place when and where the City Council of the City of Arcadia would hear protests to the annexation to the City of Arcadia of the terri- tory hereinafter described by any person owning real property within said territory. SECTION 2. That the City Council of the City of Arcadia, pursuant to Section 35313.2 of the California Government Code, does hereby find that no written protest whatsoever has been made and does therefore by resolution declare that a majority protest has not been made with respect to the annexation to the City of Arcadia of the territory designated as Annexation No. 33 West Arcadia Uninhabited, which territory is particularly described and bounded as follows: Beginning at an angle point in the City of Arcadia Boundary, as same existed on May 1, 1964, said angle point being the intersection of a line that is parallel with the easterly line of Lot 3, Block A, Santa Anita Land Company's Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 6, Page 137 of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, and 378 feet easterly, measured along the northerly line of said lot from the northwesterly corner thereof, and the southerly line of said Lot 3, said southerly line now being the center line of Naomi Avenue 50 feet wide; thence westerly 411 feet, more or less, along -1- 3730 - said southerly line and its westerly prolongation to the center line of Golden West Avenue, 60 feet wide, as shown on map of said tract; thence northerly along said last mentioned center line 330 feet to said City of Arcadia boundary; thence easterly along said boundary and following the same through its various courses and distances to the point of beginning. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on the 3rd day of November , 1964. by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Balser, Considine, Forman, Reibo1d and Turner NOES: None .
