'-" RESOLUTION NO. 3734 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE SCALE OF PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 3687 AND ALL OTHER RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. -I?~ ~ 3 cf di -- THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 1773 of the Cali- fornia Labor Code, the following wage scales for the basic trades and subtrades hereinafter set forth are hereby ascertained and determined to be the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality of the City of Arcadia and the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work in said locality. That the rates hereinafter specified shall be applicable as of the date of the adoption hereof, except in such instances as rates or sched- ules are hereinafter specified to be effective at a date later than the date of the adoption hereof and in such cases the rates shall be effective upon the respective dates hereinafter specified. Per diem wages shall be deemed to include employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation and similar purposes, when , the term "per diem wages" is used in any statute applicable to public works. OPERATING ENGINEERS (continued) All ol?erators and oilers on equipment with booms of 80 to 100 feet includ. I. ing jib and pile driving rigs with hammer leads of 80 to 100 fe~ shall receive 15~ per hour premium pay additional to the regular rate of pay. -lhereaher they shall receive an additionallOd per hour premium pay additional to the regular rate of pay for each additional 20 feet of boom, including jib. . . It is agreed that two or more Engineer Operators will constitute a complete .... operating crew on all Tower Crane equipment (American Pecco, Bucyrw: Erie, Mayco-Weitz, Linden and similar types), and they shall receive 45, per hour premiurn pay in addition to the applicable Universal Equipment Operator"s rate of pay (Long Boom premium shall not apply to this equipment). Operators on all hoisting equipment with three drums or more, shall receive 154 per hour premium pay additional to the regular rate of pay. Combination Mixer and Compressor Operators on Cunite work shall be classified as Concrete Mobile Mix:er Operator. Operators on Equipment with scrapers or dragtype shovels: in tandem shall receive premium pay of $1.00 per hour above the regular rate. The necessity for the use of an employee as a Signalman shall be deter- mined by the Contractor. When used, he shall be an Engineer-Oiler, who... assists in giving or relaying signals by mechanical meanlll (also by means 0;1" hand siJmals on excavation work) directly to the Operator of hoisting equip!1 ment only. On a survey crew the Party Chief shall receive premium pay of 106 per hour above the regular rate. TEAMSTERS Health & Welfare-15~ per hour Pension-15/;! per hour OWNER-OPERATORS-owning tractor nnly. to be put on payroll of Contrac- tor; all others, payments of 12"'~ per hour (50~ per half day, $1.00 per full day) to provide Health & Welfare. Foremen: When a Contractor employs on his payroll, on a jobsHe, 11 or more Teamsters operating equipment under the jurisdiction of the Team- sters, excluding any equipment less than six tons and maintenance equipment, the Contractor shall designate one Teamster as. a work- ing Foreman and he shall receive 256 per hour more than the highest classification over which he is Foreman. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof to be filed with the Director of Industrial Relations within ten (10) . , days ,after the date of the adoption hereof and annually thereafter shall cause a certified copy hereof to be filed with the Director of Industrial Relationsj if during any annua~ period the City '.
