HomeMy WebLinkAbout3600 ~ RESOLUTION NO. 3600 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE SCALE OF PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 3550 AND ALL OTHER RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. ~4 K. 3&1-7 THE CI~Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 1773 of the Cali- fornia Labor Code, the following wage scales for the basic trades and sub trades hereinafter set forth are hereby ascertained and determined to be the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality of the City of Arcadia and the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work in said locality. That the rates hereinafter specified shall be applicable as of the date of the adoption hereof, except in such instances as rates or sched- ules are hereinafter specified to be effective at a date later than the date of the adoption hereof and in such cases the rates shall be effective upon the respective dates hereinafter specified. Per diem wages shall be deemed to include employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation and similar purposes, when the term "per diem wages" is used in any statute applicable to public works. The basic trades and subtrades with respect to which the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general pre- vailing rate for legal holiday and overtime in the locality of the City of Arcadia as thus determined are as follows: -1- 3600 ~ I , ,,-.'"1:"^ , " , ()'. That Resolution No. 3550 entitled "A RESO- LUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE SCALE OF PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES AND RE- SCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 3425 AND ALL OTHER RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH" adopted January 15, 1963, and all other resolutions in conflict herewith, are hereby rescinded. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause a certified'copy hereof to be filed with the Director of Industrial Relations within ten (10) days after the date of the adoption hereof and annually thereafter shall cause a certified copy hereof to be flIed with the Director of Industrial Relations; if during any annual period the City Coun- cil determines that there has been a change in any prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality of the City of Arcadia, the City Clerk shall notify the Director of Industrial Relations of such determination within ten (10) days after such determination is made. All operators and oilers on equipment with booms of 80 to 100 feet includ- ing jib and pile driving rigs with hammer leads of 80 to 100 feet. shall receive 15; per hour premium pay additional to the regular rate of pay. Thereafter they shall receive an additional lOll per hour j)remium pay additional to the regular rate of pay for each additional 20 feet of boom. including jib. It is agreed that two or more Engineer Operators will constitute a complete operating crew on all Tower Crane equipment (American Pecco. Bucyrus Erie. Mayco-Weitz. Linden and similar types), and they shall receive 45~ per hour premium pay in addition to the aQplicable Uillversal Equipment Operator'! rate of pay (Long Boom premium shall not apply to this equipment). Operators on all hoisting equipment with three drums or more, shall receive 15 d per hour premium pay additional to the regular rate of pay. Combination Mixer and Compressor Operators on Gunite work shall be classified as Concrete Mobile Mixer Operator.
