RESOLUTION NO. 3620
A RESOLUTION AND ORDER OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS
INTENTION TO PAY OUT OF ITS MUNICIPAL FUNDS ONE
HUNDRED PER CENT (100%) OF THE AMOUNT OF TAXES
TO BE DERIVED FROM THE AREA OF THE METROPOLITAN
WATER DISTRICT OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WITHIN THE
CITY OF ARCADIA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
JULY 1, 1964, AS SUCH AMOUNT OF TAXES SHALL BE
FIXED IN AUGUST, 1964, BY RESOLUTION OF THE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SUCH METROPOLITAN WATER
DISTRIC'r.
WHEREAS, the City of Arcadia is a municipal corporation and
a public agency w:lthin the meaning of Section 8.2 of the Metropolitan
Water District Act of the State of California, as amended (Stats.
1927, page 694, as amended; Deering's General Laws, Act 9129); and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City of Arcadia is de-
sirous of declaring its intention, pursuant to the provisions of said
Section 8.2 of the Metropolitan Water District Act, to payout of the
municipal funds of said City one hundred per cent (100%) of the amount
of the taxes of The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California
for the fiscal year 1964-1965. to be derived from the area of said
District within said City of Arcadia, as such amount of taxes shall
be fixed in August, 1964, by resolution of the Board of Directors of
said The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, and it
appears that there will be sufficient money in the Water Fund of said
City to make such payment;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That said City Council hereby and herein de-
clares its intention, on behalf of the City of Arcadia, to payout
of its municipal funds one hundred per cent (100%) of the amount of
taxes to be derived from the area of said District within the City
of Arcadia, as such amount of taxes shall be fixed in August, 1964,
by resolution of the Board of Directors of said The Metropolitan
Water District of Southern California for the fiscal year commencing

July 1, 1964 and ending June 30, 1965, and that the said City of
Arcadia, pursuant to the provisions of paragraph (d) of Section 8
of the Metropolitan Water District Act, as amended, and at the time
and in the manner therein provided, will elect to pay one hundred
per cent (100%) of the amount of taxes to be derived from said City
of Arcadia as so fixed by said resolution of the Board of Directors
of said District.
SECTION 2. That immediately upon the adoption of this
declaration of intention and order, and in no event later than the
10th day of December, 1963, two certified copies of this resolution,
declaration of intention and order shall be filed by the City Clerk
of the City of Arcadia with the Controller of said The Metropolitan
Water District of Southern California, and one certified copy hereof
with the County Assessor and County Auditor of the County of Los
Angeles, and with the State Board of Equalization, accompanied in
each instance by a statement of the existence of the City of Arcadia
as a municipal corporation located in the County of Los Angeles,
State of California, together with a legal description of the bound-
aries of said City of Arcadia as most recently changed, together with
a map or plat indicating such boundaries.
SECTION 3. That concurrently with the certification to the
Controller of said The Metropolitan Water District of Southern Cali-
fornia of said dec,laration of intention, accompanied by such state-
ment and map or plat, the said City Clerk shall transmit or shall
cause to be transmitted to said Controller a statement Showing the
financial condition of said City, the funds from which it is intended
that such payment will be made, and the sources of revenue to be used
therefor, and not later than the 15th day of December, 1963, shall
file, or cause to be filed, with said Controller proof that a certi-
fied copy of said declaration and such statement and ~ap or plat
have been filed with said County Assessor and County Auditor, and
with said State Board of Equalization.

SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held
on the 15th day of
October

at least three Councilmen, to wit:
