II ,{__ ADOPTING THE SCALE OF PREVAILING ~~, ~7 :~~I~~I~~R ~~~~~~g~s N~~D 3425 AND ~ ~ h 0 0 ALL OTHER RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That pursuant to Section 1773 of the Cali- fornia Labor Code, the following wage scales for the basic trades and subtrades hereinafter set forth are hereby ascertained and determined to be the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality of the City of Arcadia and the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work in said locality. That the rates hereinafter specified shall be applicable as of the date of the adoption hereof, except in such instances as rates or sched- ules are hereinafter specified to be effective at a date later than the date of the adoption hereof and in such cases the rates shall be effective upon the respective dates hereinafter specified. Per diem wages shall be deemed to include employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation and similar purposes, when the term "per diem wages" is used in any statute applicable to public works. Operators on all hoisting equipment with three drums or more, shall receive 15e per hour premium pay additional to the regular rate of pay. Combination Mixer and Compressor Operators on Gunite work shall be classified a!5 Concrete Mobile Mixer Operator. Operators on Equipment with scrapers or dragtype shove)., in tandem shall receive premium pay of $1.00 per hour above the regular rate. The necessity for the use of an employee ll! a Signalman shall be deter- mined by the Contractor. When used. he shall be an Engineer-Oiler, 115 defined herein, who assists in giving or relaying signals by mechanical meam (also by means of hands signals on excavation worleY directly to the Operator of hoisting equipment only. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof to be filed with the Director of Industrial Relations within ten (10) days after the date of the adoption hereof, and annually there- after shall cause a certified copy hereof to be filed with the Director of Industrial Relations; if during any annual period the City Council determines that there has been a change in any pre- vailing rate of per diem wages in the locality of the City of Arcadia, the City Clerk shall notify the Director of Industrial Relations of such determination within ten (IO) days after such determination is made.
