RESOLUTION NO. 3561
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
FINDING THAT THE PUBLIC CONVENIENCE
AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE IMPROVEMENT
OF ALTURA ROAD AND OTHER STREETS, ALL
IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA (JOB NO. 277).
'''HEREAS, pursuant to Resolutio,:! No, 3538' and the laws
and Constitution of the State of California, a public hearing
has been ,held, d~ly and regularly, on the proposed improvement of
Altura Road and other streets, by the installation and placing in
operation of an ornamental street lighting system, including the
installation of ornamental concrete lighting standards, foundations,
luminaires, lamp:~, cable, conduit, pull boxes, cutouts, cutout
boxes, and appurtenant work thereto; and
WHEREAS, said improvement has been considered fully;
NOW, TlffiREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Arcadia
hereby finds and determines that the public convenience and neces-
sity require the improvement of:

Catalpa Road between Altura Road and the easterly line of Tract
No. 11913, Map Book 52, pp. 47 and 48;
Volante Drive between Altura Road and the northerly prolongation
of the southeasterly line of Lot 59, Tract No. 12411, Map Book
234, pp. 39 and 40;
Volante Drive between Michillinda Avenue and Altura Road;
Monte Verde Drive, Paloma Drive, Encanto Drive, and Panorama
Drive between Michi111nda Avenue and Golden West Avenue;
La Rosa Road between Michillinda Avenue and Altura Road;
De Anza Place between its northerly termination in Tract No.
15350, ~ap Book 354, pp. 9 and 10 and Altura Road;
Columbia Road between the westerly prolongation of the southerly
line of Lot 1, Tract No. 13594, Map Book 288, pp. 20 and 21 and
Altura Road;
Altura Road between Hugo Reid Drive and Colorado Street;
Campesina Road and Valido Road between Volante Drive and Catalpa
Road;
Monte Vista Road between Paloma Drive and Colorado Street;
Corto Road between Altura Road and the easterly prolongation of
the southerly line of Lot 39, Tract No. 13594, Map Book 288, pp.
20 and 21;
Cabr1llo Road between its junction with Panorama Drive and the
easterly prolongation of the southerly line of Lot 55, Tract No.
l33l~, Map Book 258, pp. 5 and 5;
Golden West Avenue between the southwesterly prolongat1on of the
soutneasterly line of Lot 15, Tract No. 13312, ~ap Book 268, pp.
5 and 6 and the easterly prolongation of the northerly line or
Lot 1, Tract No. 12542, ~~p Book 259, pp. 34 and 35;
The common intersections of Altura Road with Catalpa Road, Volante
Drive, Monte Verde Drive, La Rosa Road, Paloma Dr1ve, Encanto
Drive, Panorama Drive, Corto Road, De Anza Place, and Columbia
Road;
The common intersections of Catalpa Road with Cempesina Road,
Valido Road and Monte Vista Road;
The common intersections of Monte Vista Road with Volante Drive,
Monte Verde Drive and Paloma Drive;
The common intersections of Golden West Avenue with Monte Verde
Drive, Paloma Dr1ve, Encanto Drive, Tallac Drive,and Panorama
Drive.
The Junction of Panorama Drive with Cabrillo Road;
The common intel'sections of
/Volante Drive with Campesina Road and Valido Road;

by the installation and placing in operation of an ornamental street
l~ghting system, ~ncluding the installation of ornamental concrete
lighting standards, foundations! luminaires, lamps, cable, conduit,
pull boxes, cutouts, cutout boxes, and appurtenant work theretoj
and that the extent of the proposed district to be assessed for the
cost and expenses thereof is shown on assessment district map, No.
W-93.
SECTION 2, That the "Special Assessment Investigation,
Limitation and Najority Protest Act of 1931" shall not apply to the
making of said improvement.
SECTION 3. ' That this improvement shall be conducted
under the Improvement Act of 1911, which is Division 7 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 4e The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held
on the 15th day of January, 1963, by the affirmative vote of at least
three Councilmen, to wit:
