( RESOLUTION NO, 3423 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY COMMISSION TO HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ROUTE OF THE PROPOSED FOOTHILL FREEWAY FROM LINCOLN AVENUE IN PASADENA TO A POINT 1500 FEET EAST OF MICHILLINDA AVENUE IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA. WHEREAS, pursuant to the authorization of the State High- way Commission, the ~tate Highway Engineer has within the past 30 days given public notice of the Commission's intention to consider the adoption of a location of a freeway on State Highway in Los Angeles County between Lincoln Avenue in the City of Pasadena and a point 1500 feet east of Michil1inda Avenue in the City of Arcadia (Road VII-LA-9-Pas,E,Ada), specifying that a pUblic hearing on the matter will be held by the State Highway Commission if requested by the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, the City Council of the City of Arcadia or the Board of Directors of the City of Pas a- dena; NOW, THEREFORE} THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Arcadia does hereby request a public hearing to be held on the aforesaid matter at a time and location most convenient to the officials and residents of the City of Arcadia and not unduly inconvenient to other officials and persons who may desire to attend the same, The City Council does hereby declare that its principal interest in the aforesaid matter is in the easterly portion of the State Highway cbove described, commencing at a point westerly of Rosemead Boule- vard and extending easterly to the point 1500 feet east of Michil- linda Avenue, SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall forward copies hereof to the State -1- 3423 . . .. Highway Commission and to J. C. Womack, state Highway Engineer.
