HomeMy WebLinkAbout3424 ~T ~ ~. ..... - -' RESOLUTION NO. 3424 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING AND ESTABLISHING, REGULATIONS APPLICABLE TO THE REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT '1167 WEST DUARTE ROAD IN SAID CITY UPON ITS ' CLASSIFICATION IN ZONE D (ARCHITECTURAL OVERLAY) . THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Arcadia, proceedings were duly instituted and publiC hear- ings duly held by and before the City Planning Commission and the City Council of the City of Arcadia, concurrent with the proceed- ings for the annexation to the City of Arcadia of the property here- inafter described, as a result of which said City Council determined that the property included within the territory designated as "Annexation No. 26, West Arcadia Uninhabited", to wit: All the property in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, bounded and described as follows: Beginning in the northeast corner of Lot 1, Tract No. 10815, as shown on map recorded in Book 188, pages 7 and 8, of Maps in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, said point also being in the westerly boundary of the City of Arcadia as same existed on July 10, 1961; thence southerly along said boundary to an angle point in said boundary in Duarte Road as shown on said map; thence westerly along said boundary in Duarte Road 134.92 feet more or less to the intersection with the southerly prolongation of the westerly line of said Lot 1; thence northerly along said prolongation and along said westerly line to the northwest corner of said Lot 1; thence easterly along the northerly line of said lot to the point of beginning; should be classified and established in Zone R-3 and has further determined that the above descri~ed ~roperty be concurrently es- tablished in Zone D (Architectural Overlay) in addition to the aforesaid basic zoning. -1- 3424 . SECTION 2. That for the protection of residential prop- erties in the vicinity, for the integration of subject property with the uses in effect or permissible in the area, and to promote the full and proper utilization of the aforesaid property, the following restrictions should be and concurrent with the annexation thereof to the City of Arcadia the same hereby are imposed upon the above described property, pursuant to Division 2 of Part 7 of Chapter 2 of Article IX of the Arcadia Municipal Code, to wit: a. All structures to be erected thereon shall comply in all respects with the provisions of Title 2, Division 5, Part 5, Chapter 2, Article IX of the Arcadia Municipal Code. b. That a concrete block wall be constructed along the west side of the lot to prohibit access to Greenwood Avenue. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution, I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the 7th day of November, 1961 by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Butterworth, Camphouse, Phillips, Reibold and Balser NOES: None ~ ?Jf#n>A City Clerk of the City of ~ SIGNED AND APPROVED this 7th day of November, 1961. d~~~A--.J ~-1t't~L ~ler ABSENT: None (SEAL) -2- 3424
