RESOLUTION NO. 3455
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF
CERTAIN CITY RECORDS.
~HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
DOES DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the following records dated prior to
July 1, 1956 are no longer required. That the City Treasurer has
requested permission to destroy the same and the City Attorney has
consented thereto; that the destruction of such records is not pro-
hibited by law and particularly by Section 34090 of the CaU,fornia
Government Code. That the City Treasurer be and she is hereby
authorized to destroy all of the following records under her charge
dated prio~ to July 1, 1956, to wit:
Street Improvement Bond Items
Bank Statements
Bond Ledger (receipts and payments -
duplicate)
Check Stubs
General Obligations Bonds & Coupons
1914 Water Bonds
1914 Street Bonds
1924 Street Bonds

SECTION 2. That the following records dated prior to

July 1, 1956, are no longer required. That the Superintendent of
Building and Safety has requested permission to destroy the same
and the City Attorney has consented thereto; that the destruction
of such records is not prohibited by law and part.1cularly by Sec-
tion 34090 of the California,Gover~ent Code. That the Superin-
tendent of Building and Safety be and he is hereby authorize,d to
destroy all of the following records under his charge dated prior
to July 1, 1956, to wit:

SECTION 3. That the following records dated prior ,to
July 1, 1956, are no longer required. That the Business License
Officer has requested permission to destroy the same and the City
Attorney has consented thereto; that the destruction of such rec-
ords is not prohibited by law and particularly by Section 34090 of
the California Government Code. That the Business License Officer
be and he is hereby authorized to destroy all of the following rec-
ords under his charge dated prior to July 1, 1956, to wit:

Business Licenses - File Copies

SECTION 4. That the Controller's Monthly Statement Work
Sheets for the fiscal year 1955-1956 are no longer required. That
the Controller has requested permission to destroy the same and the
City Attorney has consented thereto; that the destruction of such
records is not prohibited by law and particularly by Section 34090
of the California Government Code. That the Controller be and he

is hereby authorized to destroy the Controller's Monthly Statement
Work Sheets for the fiscal year 1955-1956.
SECTION 5. That the following records dated prior to
1942 are no longer required. That the Personnel Officer has re-
quested permission to destroy the same and the City Attorney has
consented thereto; that the destruction of such records is not
prohibited by law and particularly by Section 3~090 of the Cali-
fornia Government Code. That the Personnel Officer be and he is
hereby authorized to destroy all of the following records under his
charge dated prior to 1942, to wit:

SECTION 6. That the following records dated prior to
July 1, 1956, are no longer required. That the Purchasing qfficer
has requested permission to destroy the same and the City Attorney
has consented thereto; that the destruction of such records is not
prohibited by law and particularly by Section 34090 of the Cali-
fornia Government Code. That the ,Purch~sing Officer be and he is
hereby authorized to destroy all of the following records under his
charge dated prior to July 1, 1956, to wit:
Purchase Orders
Purchase Orders
Purchase Orders
Requisitions

SECTION 7. That Applications for Water Service dated
prior to 19(9 are no longer required. That the Water Superintend-
ent has requested permission to destroy the same and the City At-
torney has consented thereto; that the destruction of such records
is not prohibited by law and particularly by Section 34090 of the
California Government Code. That the Water Superintendent be and
he is hereby authorized to destroy Applications for Water Service
dated prior to 1940.

SECTION 8. That miscellaneous correspondence in the
Engineering Department from 1932 to 1938, inclusive, is no longer
required. That the City Engineer has requested permission to de-
stroy the same and the City Attorney has consented thereto; that
the destruction of such records is not prohibited by law and par-
ticularly by Section 34090 of the California Government Code. That
the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to destroy mis-
cellaneous correspondence from 1932 to 1938, inclusive.
SECTION 9. That miscellaneous correspondence in the
Planning Department prior to 1947 is no longer required. That the
Planning Director has requested permission to destroy the same and
the City Attorney has consented thereto; that the destruction of
such records is not prohibited by law and particularly by Section
34090 of the California Government Code. That the Planning Director
be and he is hereby authorized to destroy miscellaneous corres-
pondence prior to 1947.
SECTION 10. That miscellaneous correspondence in the
City Manager's office prior to 1955 is no longer required. That
the City Manager has requested permission to destroy the same and
the City Attorney has consented thereto; that the destruction of
such records is not prohibited by law and particularly by Section
34090 of the California Government Code. That the City Manager be
and he is hereby authorized to destroy miscellaneous correspondence
prior to 1955.
SECTION 11. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held

at least three Councilmen, to wit:
