RESOLUTION NO. 3460 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF DEARBORN STREET AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR THE HEARING OF OBJECTIONS TO SUCH PROPOSED VACATION AND ABANDONMENT. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Arcadia is informed and believes and hereby finds and determines that the hereinafter described portion of Dearborn Street is no longer re- quired for the public convenience, necessity, use and welfare, and that the public health, necessity and safety will be better served by the vacation and abandonment for street purposes of the herein- after described property, and does hereby declare its intention to vacate, abandon and terminate, pursuant to Chapters 1, 2 and 3, Part 3, of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, that portion of Dearborn Street in the City of Ar- cadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, shown on Map of Chicago Park Tract, as recorded in Book 30, Page 100, of Miscella- neous Records in the office of the Recorder of said County, lying between the east line of Myrtle Avenu~ 50 feet wide, and the fol- lowing described line: Commencing at the intersection of the center line of Peck Road, 60 feet wide, as said road is shown on Map of Tract No. 10790, as shown on map recorded in Book 187, page 29, of the records of said County Recorder, with the westerly prolongation of the northerly line of Clark Street, 50 feet wide, as said street is shown on Map of said Tract No. 10790; thence along said northerly line of Clark Street and its westerly prolongation, south 67036'40" East 2028.24 feet to the true point of beginning, -1- 3460 . which is the beginning of a tangent curve concave northerly and having a radius of 200 feet; thence easterly along said curve through a central angle of 45034' 20", an arc distance of 159.08 feet; thence along a tangent line North 66049'00" East 1210.70 feet to a point in the northerly line of said Chicago Park, said point bein~ distant along said northerly line South 67 36'40" East 3020.63 feet from the intersection of said northerly line with the ,center line of said Peck Road. SECTION 2. That a map or plan indicating by boundary lines the location and extent of the property included in the pro- posed vacation and abandonment is on file in the office of the City ~lerk and reference is hereby made to said map or plan for a particular and for a further, full and complete description of all the properties comprising the aforesaid portions of properties. SECTION 3. That Tuesday, the 6th day of March, 1962, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. on said day, in the Council Chambers of said City Council in the City Hall, 240 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, Cali- fornia, is hereby fixed as the hour, day and place at which any and all persons interested in or objecting to the said proposed vaca- tion and abandonment may appear before this Council and show cause why said portion of Dearborn Street should not be vacated and abandoned as hereinbefore set forth. SECTION 4. The Superintendent of Streets shall cause to be posted notices of the passage of this resolution and of the aforesaid hearing at the places and in the manner required by law. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Tribune, a newspaper of gene~al circulation published and circulated in ,the City of Arcadia. -2- 3460 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held , on the 6th d~ of February , 1962, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Butterworth, Camphouse, Phillips, Reibold and Balser NOES: None ABSENT: None ~t~i~~~ SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of February , 1962. ~cadia ATTEST: ~~ City Clerk , (SEAL) . -3- 3460
