RESOLUTION ,NO. 3468
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
ORDERING AND CALLING FOR A GENERAL
"MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID
CITY ON THE 10TH DAY OF APRIL, 1962;
DESIGNATING THE OFFICES TO BE FILLED
AT SAID ELECTION; PROVIDING FOR THE
POLLING PLACES FOR SAID ELECTION; AND
APPOINTING THE ELECTION OFFICERS FOR
SUCH ELECTION AND FIXING THEIR
COMPENSATION.
, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 1000 of the Arcadia
City Charter, a general municipal election be and the same is hereby
called to be held in the City of Arcadia, State of California, on
Tuesday, the lOth day of April, 1962, for the purpose of electing
the following officers to wit: Three (3) members of the City Coun-
cil of said City of Arcadia to hold office for the full term or
period of four (4) years from and after the 17th day of April, 1962.
SECTION 2. That for the purpose of holding said election
there shall be and there are hereby established thirty-five (35)
election precincts designated as hereinafter stated. That the polling
places for the respective precincts shall be the places hereinafter
designated, and that the persons hereinafter named, being competent
and qualified electors and residents of said City, and of their
respective election precincts, are hereby appointed officers of
election for their respective election precincts, and they shall
hold said election and make return thereof in the manner prOVided
by law:

SECTION 3. That the polls for said election shall be
opened at 7:00 o'clock a.m. on the day of said election and shall
remain open continuously from said time until 7:00 o'clock p.m. of
said day, when said polls shall be closed except as provided in
Section 14436 of the Elections Code of the State of California.
SECTION 4. That said general municipal election shall be
held in accordance with the provisions of the City Charter of the
City of Arcadia and in accordance with the provisions of the Elec-
tions Code of the State of California pertaining to General Law
Cities insofar as the same are not in conflict with said City Charter.
SECTION 5. That the compensation to be paid for each
pOlling place used in said general municipal election shall be and
the same is hereby fixed at the sum of Twelve Dollars ($12.00).
That the compensation to be paid to each inspector hereinabove men-
tioned for all services by each inspector to be rendered at said
general municipal election shall be and the same is hereby fixed
at the sum of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00). That the compensation to
be paid to each of the other aforesaid officers of election for all
services rendered by each of said other officers at said general
municipal election shall be and the same is hereby fixed at the
sum of Twelve Dollars ($12.00).
SEC'I'Itik,,6. That said City Council shall meet in the
Council Chambers of the ,Arcadia City Hall on Tuesday, April 17,
1960 at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., to canvass the returns of
said election and to declare the results thereof.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution, and shall cause notice of said election, the
offices to be filled and the other matters relating to said election
to be given as required by the Elections Code of the State of :Cali-
fornia.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Arcadia held on the 20th
