RESOLUTION NO. 3496 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE MODIFICATION OF THE REAR YARD SETBACK REQUIREMENTS FOR REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1833 EL VISTA CIRCLE IN SAID CITY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That on February 27, 1962, Herbert D. and Mary Ann Anderson filed an application for a modification of the rear yard requ~rements to permit the construction of a master bedroom and bath at the rear of the present house located at 1833 E~ Vista Circle in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows: Lot 1, Tract No. 14138, per map recorded in Map ~ook 415, Page 46, in the office of the Recorder of said County; That after notice as required by the Zoning Ordinance of said City, a public hearing was duly held on the matter by and before the Modification Corruni ttee on Tuesday March 13, 1962, at which ,- time the requested modification from 25 feet to 12 feet was approved. That on April 6., 1962, a written appeal from said decision of the Modification Corrunittee was filed by Mr. and Mrs. John Mac L. Hunt and that such appeal from said decision was heard by and before the City Planning Corrunission on April 24, 1962, which hearing was con- tinued to May 8; 1962, at each of which times all interested per- sons were given full opportunity to be heard and to present evi- dence. That thereafter a written appeal from said decision was filed with the City Clerk by Mr. and Mrs. John Mac L. Hunt pursuant to which a publi,c hearing on the matter was duly held by and before this Council on June 19, 1962, at which time all interested persons were given full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence. -1- ., ~~ - - . .. .. .... SECTION 2. That in view of applicants' growing family, the proposed addition and the yard modification therefor is neces- say to prevent unreasonable hardship; that the proposed location is the logical one' to secure an appropriate improvement of the lot. That the addition at its proposed location will not be unreasonably , detrimental to ,other properties or improvements in the vicinity, and will not be out of conformity with other improvements in the area. " SECTION 3. That for the foregoing reasons, the decision of the Planning Commission contained in its said Resolution No. 447 is affirmed, thb appeal therefrom is hereby denied, and the modifi- cation of the rear yard setback requirements is hereby approved on the real property located at 1833 El Vista Circle in said City and hereinabove described to permit the construction of an additional bedroom and bath as requested in the application. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
