RESOLUTION NO. 3328
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
INSTITUTING PROCEEDINGS FOR, SETTING
A PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING AND
GIVING NOTICE OF THE TIME AND PLACE
OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING
THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY
OF ARCADIA OF CERTAIN TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE
PRESENT CITY LIMITS OF SAID CITY,
SAID TERRITORY BEING SITUATED, NEAR
THE ,SOUTHERLY PORTION OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA AND DESIGNATED AS
"ANNEXATION NO. 22, SOUTH ARCADIA
(UNINHABITED). "

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES
HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the "Annexation of' Uninhab-
ited Territory Act of' 1939", as amended, the City Council of' the
City of' Arcadia, on its own motion, does hereby initiate proceed-
ings f'or the annexation to the City of' Arcadia of' certain uninhab-

ited territory contiguous and adjacent to the city limits of' the
City of' Arcadia and situated near the southeasterly portion of' the
City of' Arcadia as more particularly described in Section 5 herein-
af'ter.
SECTION 2. That the City Council of' the City of' Arcadia
desires to annex such uninhabited territory to promote and insure
the proper integration of' said territory with the contiguous area
already within the limits of' the City of' Arcadia, and to comply
with the stated desires of' many owners of' property in such area.
SECTION 3. That the proposal f'or the annexation of' said
territory to the City of' Arcadia has been submitted to and f'avorably
reported upon to the proponents by the Boundary Commission of' the
County of' Los Angeles as required by Section 35002 of' the Government
Code of' the State of' Calif'ornia.

SECTION 4. That said territory is uninhabited and is
contiguous to the City of Arcadia. That said territory is now a
part of the City of Temple City, a municipal corporation. That the
legislative body of Temple City has received the written consent
of at least two-thirds of the freeholders within the territory,
holding at least two-thirds in value of the real property within
the territory, and the legislative body of Temple City has by reso-
lution consented to the detachment of said territory from the City
of Temple City and the annexation thereof to the City of Arcadia.
SECTION 5. That pursuant to the "AnnexatioI:l of Uninhab-
ited Territory Act of 1939," as amended, the City Council of the
City of Arcadia does hereby give notice of said proposed annexa-
tion; that said territory is hereby designated as "Annexation No.
* Southeast Arcadia (Uninhabited)" and is particularly described
and bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing
boundary of the City of Arcadia as same existed
on November 1, 1960, said point being the north-
east corner of Lot 4, Tract No. 10260, as per
map ~ecorded in Book 219, page 20, of Maps in
the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County;
thence southerly along the easterly line of Lots
4 and 5 of said Tract No. 10260 to the southeast
corner of said Lot 5; thence westerly along the
southerly line of said Lot 5 to the southwest
corner thereof; thence northerly along the west-
erly line of previously mentioned Lots 4 and 5
to the northwest corner of said Lot 4, said
corner being in the previously mentioned boundary
of the City of Arcadia; thence easterly along
said boundary to the point of beginning.
SECTION 6. 'That the City of Arcadia hereby gives notice
of and fixes Tuesday, January 17, 1961, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock
p.m., in the Council Chamber of the Arcadia City Hall, 240 West
Huntington Drive, Arcadia, California, as the day, hour and place
when and where the City Council of the City of Arcadia will hear
protests made by any person owning real property within the terri-
tory above described. At any time before the hour set for hearing

objections, any owner (as defined by Section 35312 of the California
Government Code) of property within the above-described territory
may file written protest against the annexation. The protest shall
state the name of the owner of the property affected and the descrip-
tion and area of the property in general terms.
SECTION 7. Notice is further given that at said place and
at 8:00 o'clock p.m. on said date and prior to said hearing on said
annexation, the City Council will consider the recommendation of the
City Planning Commission for interim emergency zoning to be adopted,
concurrent with such annexation, claSSifying said territory under
the zoning regulations of the City of Arcadia.
SECTION 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and shall cause a copy hereof to be published
and mailed as required by Section 35311 of the California Government
Code.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregOing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held
on the 6th
day of
December, 1960, by the affirmative vote of
at least three Counc~lmen, to wit:
