HomeMy WebLinkAbout3340 {I RESOLUTION NO. 3340 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING A PORTION OF LOS ANGE;LES COUNTY CONSOLIDATED FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT INCLUDED WITHIN THE CITY 'OF ARCADIA BY REASON OF ANNEXATION Nb. 20, SOUTHEAST ARCADIA (UNINHABITED) WITHDRAWN FROM SUCH DISTRICT. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the property hereinafter described is now included within the City of Arcadia by reason 'of the annexation of said property to the City of Arcadia as hereinafter set forth. That said property is presently 'included within the Los Angeles County Con- solidated Fire Protection District. That, pursuant to Section 14540 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California, each of said properties are hereby declared to be withdrawn from the Los Angeles County Consolidated Fire Protection District, and January 31, 1961, is hereby fixed as the date On which the withdrawal of each of the prop- erties hereinafter described shall be effective. SECTION 2. That the property thus declared to be withdrawn from the Los Angeles County Consolidated Fire Protection District is described as all that real pro~erty annexed to the City of Arcadia under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 1111, adopted December 6, 1960, filed'with the Secretary of State of the State of California on Janu- ary 9, 1961, designated as Annexation No. 20, Southeast Arcadia (Uninhabited), and bounded and described as follows: -1- 3340 "ANNEXA'rION NO. 20, SOUTHEAST ARCADIA (UNINHABITED)" TO THE CITY OF ARCADIA Beginning at a', point in the boundary of the City of Ar- cadia, as same existeQ on July 1, 1960, (along the northwesterly line of Peck Road), said point being the point of inter~ection of said boundary with the northwesterly prolongation of the north- easterly line of Dearborn Street, 50 feet wide as shown on map of Chicago Park, recorded in Book 30, page 100 of Miscellaneous Rec- ords, in the office of the Los Angeles County Recorder; thence southwesterly 975.40 feet more or less, along said boundary and northwesterly line of Peck Road to a point of intersection with the northwesterly prolongation of the southwesterly line of vacated Randolph Street, 25 feet wide, said southwesterly line being along the northeasterly lines of Lots 1 and 7 of the Coffin and Armstrong Tract as per map recorded in Book 2, page 39 of Maps in the office of the Los Angeles County Recorder; thence southeasterly along the last mentioned prolongation and southwesterly line to the north- westerly line of Cogswell Road, 50 feet wide, as per map of Tract No. 13286 'recorded in Book 268, pages 29 to 32 of Maps in the 9ffice of the Los Angeles County Recorder; thence northeasterly along the northwesterly line of said Cogswell Road to a point of intersection with the southwesterly line of Clark Street, 50 feet wide as shown on said map of Chicago Park; thence southeasterly'along the south- westerly line of said Clark Street to a point of intersection with the existing boundary of said City of Arcadia; thence northeasterly and northwe~terly along said boundary to the point of beginning. -2- 3340 , ., SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause copies hereof to b~ filed with the State Board of Equalization of the State of California, the governing body of the Los Angeles County Fire Protection District, the County Clerk of the County of Los Angeles, the Registrar of Voters of the County of Los Angeles and the County Assessor of the County of Los Angeles. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular,meeting of the City Coun~il of the City of Arcadia held on the 17th day of January, 1961, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Balser, Butterworth, Phillips" Reibold and Camphouse NOES: None ABSENT: None ~~~~ City Clerk of the City of Arcadia SIGNED AND APPROVED this 17th day of January, 1961.
