RESOLUTION NO. 3365
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
CONSENTING TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF
PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION TO
THE CITY OF ARCADIA OF CERTAIN
INHABITED TERRITORY IN THE COUNTY
OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF ARCADIA
AND DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION NO.
23, SOUTH ARCADIA INHABITED."
WHEREAS, there was heretofore filed with the City of
Arcadia a petition requesting the City Council of the City of
Arcadia to give its consent to the commencement of proceedings
for the annexation of that certain inhabited, territory therein
referred to and generally described, which territory is. con-
tiguous to the City of Arcadia and is hereinafter more'particu-
larly described, which said petition was referred to the City
Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia for report or recom-
mendation pursuant to Section 35107 of the California Government
Code; and,
WHEREAS, on January 10, 1961, said City planning Com-
mission made its report and recommendation as requested, which
said report and recommendation was presented to said City Council
on January 17, 1961;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS,FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That consent be and the same is hereby
granted for the commencement of proceedings for the annexation
to the City of Arcadia of the inhabited territory hereinafter
described in accordance with the Annexation Act of 1913.
SECTION 2. That said unincorporated territory be and
the same is hereby designated as "Annexation No. 23, South Arcadia
Inhabited". That said territory is bounded generally as follows:
Easterly of Double Drive, northerly of the Rio Hondo Wash,

southerly and westerly of the existing Arcadia City boundary. That
said territory and property in the County of Los Angeles, State of
California is specifically bounded and described as follows:

Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 7,
Tract 15233, per map recorded in Book 332,
pages 29 and 30, of maps in the office of the
recorder of Los Angeles County, said corner
being also a corner in the boundary line of
the City of Arcadia as same existed on March
13, 1961; thence southeasterly along the
various courses and distances of said boundary
to its intersectio~ with the northerly boundary
line of the City of El Monte, as same existed
on above mentioned date; thence southwesterly
along the various courses and distances of
said northerly boundary line to its intersection
with the easterly boundary line of the City of
Temple City in Double Drive, as same existed on
above mentioned date; thence northerly along
last mentioned boundary to its intersection with
the boundary of the City of Arcadia as same
existed on above mentioned date; thence easterly
along the various courses and distances of last
mentioned boundary to the point of beginning.

SECTION~'. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia,
held on' the 2lst day of March, 1961, by the affirmative vote of
at least three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Balser, Butterworth, Phillips,
Reibold and Camphouse
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
