RESOLUTION NO. 3395
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
AND ABANDON THAT PORTION OF DOSHIER
AVENUE OFFERED FOR DEDICATION AS A
PUBLIC STREET IN SAID CITY,
RESERVING THEREIN AN EASEMENT FOR
STORM DRAIN PURPOSES, AND FIXING A
TIME AND PLACE FOR THE HEARING OF
OBJECTIONS TO SUCH PROPOSED VACATION
AND ABANDONMENT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience re-
quire and the City Council of the City of Arcadia does hereby de-
clare its intention to vacate, abandon and terminate, pursuant to
Chapters 1, 2 and 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California and Section 11616 of the Business and
Professions Code of the State of California, those portions of the
following described property offered for dedication as a public
street shown as "future street" and upon acceptance to be known as
Doshier Avenue in the City of Arcadia, described as follows, to wit:
Parcell. That portion of Lot 94, Tract No. 17853,
shown as "Future Street" on'map of said Tract, re-
corded in Book 443, pages 5, 6 and'7, of Maps,
Records of Los Angeles County.
Parcel 2. That portion of Lot 95, Tract No. 17853,
shown as "Future Street" on map of said Tract, re-
corded in Book 443, pages 5, 6 and 7, of Maps,
Records of Los Angeles County;
which offer of dedication for public streets was made in, under and
by map of Tract No. 17853, recorded in Book 443, pages 5, 6 and 7,
of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, and which said offer of
dedication was rejected by the City Council of the City of Arcadia
on July 1, 1952.

SECTION 2. The City Council further determines and re-
cites that the publiC convenience and necessity require the reser-
vation and exception to the City of Arcadia of the right, easement
and right of way at any time, or from time to time, to construct,
maintain, operate, repair, replace, remove or renew storm drains,
sanitary sewers, water mains and necessary structures pertinent
thereto in, upon, over and across said portions of the extension
of Doshier Avenue hereinabove described and offered for dedication
as a publiC street as aforesaid, and proposed to be vacated, aban-
doned and terminated as herein declared, and that the proceedings
taken hereunder are subject to such reservation and exception, pur-
suant to Chapter 3, Part 3. Division 9 of said Streets and Highways
Code.
SECTION 3. A map or plan indicating by boundary lines
the location and extent of the property included, in the proposed
vacation, abandonment and termination is on file in the office of
the City Clerk and reference is hereby made to said map or plan
for a further, full and complete description of all the properties
comprising the aforesaid portions of properties.
SECTION 4.

That Tuesday, the ~ day of ~, 1961, at
8:00 o'clock p.m. on said day, in the Council Chamb~rs of said
City Council in the City Hall, 240 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia,
California, is hereby fixed as the hour, day and place at which
any and all persons interested in or objecting to the said proposed
vacation, abandonment and termination may appear before this Coun-
cil and show cause why the aforesaid offer of dedication for street
purposes should not be vacated, abandoned and terminated as herein-
before set forth.

SECTION 5. The Superintendent of Streets shall cause to
be posted notices of the passage of this Resolution and of the afore-
said hearing at the places and in the manner required by law.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days
from the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be published once
in the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general cir-
cu1ation published and circulated in the City of Arcadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held
on the 20th day of
June , 1961, by the affirmative vote of at
least three Councilmen, to wit:
