RESOLUTION NO. 3215
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
DETERMINING AND ESTABLISHING
REGULATIONS.TO BE APPLICABLE TO
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED NEAR
"THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF FOOTHILL
BOULEVARD AND SECOND AVENUE IN SAID
CITY UNDER ITS CLASSIFICATION IN
ZONE D (ARCHITECTURAL OVERLAY) IN
ADDITION TO THE BASIC C-2 ZONING
APPLICABLE THERETO.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES
DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to Ordinance No. 760 of the City
of Arcadia, as amended, proceedings were duly and regularly held by
and before the City Pla~~ing Commission and the City Council of the
City of Arcadia, as a result of which said City Council determined
that the following described property in the County of Los Angeles,
State of California, to wit:
All of Lots 1, 2 and 3, Tract No. 12834, as
shown on map recorded in Book 262, .page 24,
.. of Maps, records of said County, except the
southerly 135 feet thereof,
should be reclassified and established in Zone C-2, and has further
determined that the above described property be concurrently estab-
lished in Zone D (Architecturaf Overlay) in addition to the afore-
said basic zoning.
SECTION 2. That the following restrictions should be and
the. same are hereby imposed upon and made applicable to the above
described property, pursuant to Section 12.1 of Ordinance No. 760,
to wit:
a. That the building height shall be limited to one
story and not more than twenty (20) feet high at the north wall.

b. That no signs shall be placed on the north wall of
the building, except identification signs at the rear doors of the
shops.
c. That the parking lot shall be separated from residen-
tial property by a masonry wall.
d. That all exterior lighting shall be directed away
from residential property.
e. That all permanent and temporary storage of ware and
merchandise crates, bottles, trash, garbage and refuse shall be
within the building.
f. That all air conditioning equipment shall be within
the building.
g. That an adequate turning radius shall be provided
within the setback area sufficient to provide ingress and egress
of fire apparatus or other equipment reasonably required to serve
subject property.
h. That all construction and improvements upon the prop-
erty shall conform with the elevation submitted by applicant and
marked Exhibit "B" and in accordance with the revised plot plan
submitted by applicant and marked Exhibit, "C";, provided that the
buildings shown on said Exhibit "c" may be extended northerly to
within thirty (30) feet: of the easterly prolongation of the north-
erly line of Lots 1 and 2, if a covenant be executed by the owners
of the properties involved and recorded in the office of the Los
Angeles County Recorder, agreeing that the southerly 45 feet of
Lot 10 of Tract No. 12834 shall be held in common ownership with
aforesaid Lots 1, 2 and 3, and will not be used as a separate
building site; and provided further that the' southerly 45 feet of
said Lot 10 by appropriate proceedings be made usable in conjunc-
tion with subject property; and provided that provisions of Sub-
section "g" hereinabove be complied with. That all plans for any

other or additional construction or improvements or changes in afore-
said elevation and revised plot plan shall be subject to the approval
of and first be approved by either the Planning Commission or the
City Council. That the Planning Commission and the City Council
shall retain authority, without the necessity of further proceeding~
to make minor modifications in any of the foregoing regulations,
elevation and plot plan, if such modifications are necessary and
desirable and will accomplish substantially the same results as will
the strict adherence to the specified regulations, plot plan and
elevation.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held
on the 16th' day of February
, 1960, by the affirmative vote
of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
