A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING
THE SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT OF THE COST
OF THE ABATEMENT OF RUBBISH, REFUSE AND
WEEDS UPON STREETS AND PRIVATE PROPERTY
IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA, FIXING THE
AMOUNT OF THE COST OF SUCH ABATEMENT,
DECLARING THE SAME TO BE LIENS UPON THE
RESPECTIVE PARCELS OF LAND IN SAID CITY
AFFECTED THEREBY, AND DIRECTING THE
COLLECTION THEREOF.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES
DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to Sections 39560 to 39587, inclu-
sive, of the California Government Code, the City Council of the City
of Arcadia did on February 16, 1960, adopt its certain Resolution No.
3219 entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ALL RUBBISH AND REFUSE UPON AND ALL WEEDS GROWING
UPON SPECIFIED STREETS AND PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY TO BE A
NUISANCE", wherein and whereby it determined and declared rubbish,
refuse and weeds upon streets and private property in the City of Ar-
cadia to be a public nuisance; that after a public hearing held by and
before the Arcadia City Council on March 1, 1960, after notice as re-
quired by law, said City Council ordered the removal of such rubbish,
refuse and weeds from streets and private property in the City of Ar-
cadia in accordance with the foregoing provisions of the California
Government Code. That pursuant thereto the Superintendent designated
in said Resolution No. 3219 caused the removal of such rubbish, refuse
and weeds upon streets and private property in the City of Arcadia,
and has made and submitted to the legislative body of the City of Ar-
cadia for confirmation his itemized written report in due form, show-
ing the cost of such removal of rubbish, refuse and weeds from streets
and private property in the City of Arcadia, which said report itemizes

the cost and expenses incident to such abatement, as far as the same
affect each lot and parcel of land in the City of Arcadia. That said
report, after due notice required by law, was duly considered by the
Arcadia City Council at the time fixed for receiving and considering
said report.
SECTION 2. That pursuant to the aforesaid provisions of
the California Government Code, the itemized written report of the
Superintendent showing the cost and expenses of removing rubbish,
refuse and weeds from streets and private property in the City of
Arcadia, as the same affect each lot and parcel of land, is hereby
confirmed in all particulars, and the amounts of the cost and ex-
penses of the abatement of said rubbish, refuse and weeds upon streets
and private property in the City of Arcadia, as the same affect each
such lot and parcel of land, is hereby adjudged to have been neces-
sary and are in each case reasonable in amount, and such cost and ex-
penses are hereby declared, as provided by law, to be liens on each
respective lot and parcel of land, in the respective amounts as the
same appear on said report.
SECTION 3• That the following attached list is the list and
description of each such lot or parcel of land in the City of Arcadia,
with the several amounts due respectively from each of such lots or
parcels of land for such abatement and for which liens are now declared
as above stated; and no protests, either oral or written, having been
received, or if any were received the same having been overruled by the
City Council, the City Clerk is hereby directed to send a copy of this
resolution, duly certified, to the County Auditor of the County of Los
Angeles, State of California, for inclusion with and collection to-
gether with all other taxes and assessments to be collected by the
County of Los Angeles for and on behalf of the City of Arcadia.

SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held
on the '2nd. day of Aug., 1960, by the affirmative vote of at least
three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Butterworth, Phillips, Reibold and Balser
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Camphouse.-
