C/ ,. , RESOLUTION NO. 4086 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DESIGNATING A REDEVELOPMENT SURVEY AREA FOR THE PURPOSES OF MAKING REDEVELOPMENT STUDIES AND CARRYING OUT PUBLIC PURPOSES WITH THE OBJECT OF REMOVING BLIGHT FROM THAT SECTION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA KNOWN AS CHICAGO PARK. WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the public interest that blighting conditions and deterioration be removed from the City of Arcadia; and WHEREAS, physical and structural deterioration, economic disuse, and laclc of proper development characterize and typify conditions in that part of the City of Arcadia known as "Chicago Park. " NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA HEREBY DE'rERMINES AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. "Chicago Park" is designated as a Redevelopment Survey Area within the meaning of the Community Redevelopment Law. SECTION 2. A study of "Chicago Park" is necessary to determine the nature and extent of activities re~uired to remove blight and environmental deficiencies now existing in the area, such study to determine if a redevelopment project or projects within said area are feasible. SECTION 3. The boundaries of "Chicago Park" are hereby described as follows: Beginning at an angle point in the boundary of the City of Arcadia, as said boundary existed on July 1, 1969, said angle point being the intersection of a line that is parallel with and distant northwesterly 30 feet from the center line of Peck Road and the northwesterly prolongation of the southwesterly line -1- 4086 . of State Street, 50 feet wide" as shown on the map of Chicago Park Tract filed in Book 30, Page 100 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the Recorder.of Los Angeles County; thence south- easterly along said boundary and following same t.hrough its va.rious courses and distances to the southwesterly line of Randolph Street, 25 feet wide, as shown on said map; thence northwesterly along last said line to its intersection with the above mentioned City Boundary; thence continuing northwesterly along last said line and City Boundary and following same thr9ugh its various courses and distances to an angle point in said boundary which lies 30 feet northwesterly of the center line of said Peck Road; thence northwesterly along a line parallel with said center line to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
