'-" RESOLUTION NO. 4089 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN MAINTENANCE WORK CAN BE DONE MORE ECONOMICALLY BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS THAN BY BIDDING PROCEDURES. WHEREAS, the annual street maintenance program requires the application to certain City streets of approximately 17,000 gallons each of reclamite and gilsabind; and WHEREAS, it appears from a report filed with the City Council by the Director of Public Works that the cost of doing such work through bidding procedures would be approximately $ .86 per gallon for gilsabind and $ .58 per gallon for reclamite; and WHEREAS, it appears that the Department of Public Works can apply gilsabind for approximately $ .71 per gallon and reclamite for approximately $ .42 per gallon. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA RESOLVES THAT: SECTION 1. The Council determines that the work of applying 17,000 gallons each of reclamite and gilsabind to certain City streets pursuant to the annual street maintenance program can be performed more economically by the Department of Public Works than by doing said work pursuant to bidding procedures and, therefore, said work is authorized to be performed by the Depart- ment of Public Works without following the usual bidding procedures.
