HomeMy WebLinkAbout0446 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DECLARING ITS IN- TENTION TO ORDER 'l'HE VACATION AND ABANDON!'i!ENT OF GRANVILLE AVENUE IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience require and it is the intention 01' said City Council to close up, vacate and abanoon for street purposes, GRANVILLE AVENUE, in said City of Arcadia. SECTION 2: That' the exterior boundaries of the District of lands in said City 01' Arcadia, which will be affected by said work or improvement and which will be benefitted by the same and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof' and to be knovm as the Assessment District for that purpose are hereby fixed as the exterior boundary lines of Tract No. 6641, in the City 01' Arcadi a, County of Los Ange les, State of Califom ia, as per Map re- corded in Book 126, Page 67, of Maps, Records of' said Count y. SECTION 3: That the Street Superintendent of said City of Arcadia shall pOSt Notices of the passage of this Resolution at the places and in the man- ner and form as required by law and shall also cause a notice similar in sub- stance to be published by four successive insertions in The Arcadia News, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of Arcadia and hereby des igna ted 1'0 r that purpose. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. The foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting 01' the City Council 01' the City of Arcadia, held on the 21st day of' December, 192'1, by the al'ri rma ti ve va te of a t leas t three Counci Imen, to-wi t: AYES: Councilmen, ~ailey, Granville, Hawk, Multer and Schermerhorn, NOES: ;;one, and signed and approved this 2lst day of December, 1927.
