A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING AND DECLARING.!HAT
THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY DEMAND THE ACQUISITION AND CON-
STRUCTION OF A CERTAIN MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT, THE CONSTRUCTION AND
COMPLETION OF A CERTAIN MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT, ESTIMATING THE COST
OF EACH OF SAID MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS AND FINDING THAT THE COST
OF EACH THEREOF IS AND WILL BE TOO GREAT TO BE PAID OUT OF THE OR-
DINARY ANNUAL INCOME AND REVENUE OF SAID CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AR-
CADIA, CALIFORNIA DOES EEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
the
SECTION 1: That the public interest and necessity demand
acquisition and construction by said City of Arcadia of a cer- I

tain municipal improvement, to-wit:
The acquisition of all lands necessary or convenient for
a Public Ltbrary in said City and the construction on a portion i
thereof of a Public Library Building. That said municipal improve-r
ment is necessary and convenient to carry out the objects, purposes,

and powers of said City.
That the estimated cost of said municipal improvement
is the sum of Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000) and that said cost
is and will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual
income and revenue of said City of Arcadia.
SECTION 2: That the publiC interest and necessity de-
mand the construction and completion by said City of Arcadia of
a certain municipal improvement, to-wit: The construction of an
Annex to the City Hall of said City, the same to include a City
Jail and offices and quarters necessary for the use of the var-
ious departments of said City and the officials thereof. That
said municipal improvement is necessary and convenient to carry
out the objects, purposes and powers of said City.
That the estimated cost of said municipal improvement is
the sum of Twenty-six Thousand Dollars ($26,000) and that said cost:
i8 and will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual
income and revenue of said City of Arcadia.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption I
of this Resolution.

The foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meet-
ing of the City Council and Board of Trustees of the City of Ar-
cadia, held on the ~th. day of January, 1928, by the affirmative
vote of at least four Councilmen and Trustees, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen and Trustees: Granville, Hawk, Multer,
Schermerhorn,and Holt.
NOES: None,
and signed and approved this ~th. day of January, 1928.
