DAY OF APRIL, 1928, PROVIDL~G FOR THE 2 ' POLLHm PLACID2.FOR THE HOLDING OF SUCH ELECTI:N, APPOHT nm THE ELECI.. i TION OFFICERS FOR THE S}~ffi AND FIXING THEIR COMPENSATION. 3 I 4!1 FOLLOWS: 5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO RESOLVE AS 6 That a General Municipal Election be and the same is herebycalled to be held in said City of Arcadia on Monday, the 7 9th. day of April, 1928, for the purpose of voting UDon that cer- tain proposition hereinafter specified and electing the following Officers, to-wit: / 1. Two members of the City Council and Board of Trus- tees of said City of Arcadia to hold office for the full term or period of four years from and after the 16th. day of April, 1928. 2. One member of the City Council and Board of Trus- 8 9 10 11 I 12 tees of said City of Arcadia to hold office for the unexpired term or period of two years from and after the 16th. day of April, 1928. 3. City Clerk. 4. City Treasurer. 18 That there shall be submitted to the qualified electors 19 of said City of Arcadia at said General Municipal Election the 20 question whether each of the members of said City Council and Board I I 21 I of Trustees shall receive as compensation for his services as such ,:.ember thereof, the Sll.'Il of $12.50 for each and every meeting of sai 22 23 I, City Council and Board actually attended by him, not exceeding two 'I 24 meetings a month.) 25 That the voter at said General Munici~al Election shall 26 mark his ballot by stamping a cross (X) opposite the ans~er he desires to give to the question hereinabove s?ecified. That the polls for said Election shall be opened at six o'clock on the morning of the day of said Election and shall be kept open until seven o'clock in the afternoon of t~e sa~e day, when the polls shall be closed, except as provided in Section 1164 27 28 29 30 31 32 of the Political Code of the Suate of California. -1- I~ 2 I. That the Election Precincts last established and des- ignated within said City by the Board of Su)ervisors of the County of Los Angeles, State'of California, for the holding of General Elections and which said County Precincts so e~tablished were and are designated as Arcadia City Precincts Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, respectively, shall for the purpose of said General Municipal Election be consolidated, designated and shall embrace all that part of said City of Arcadia as follows,to-wit: (a) Arcadia City Precinct No. 1 and Arcadia City Pre- cinct No.2 shall be consolidated and designated as Arcadia City Consolidated Precinct No. I, which 8ai2 Arcadia City Consolidated Precinct No. 1 shall consist of and be coextensive with said Ar- cadia City Precincts Nos. 1 and 2. (b) Arcadia City Precinct No. 3 and Arcadia City Pre- cinct No.4 shall be consolidated and designated as Arcadia City Consolidated Precinct No.2, which said Arcadia City Consolidated Precinct No. 2 shall consi st of and be coextensive with said Ar- cadia City Precincts Nos. 3 and 4. (c) Arcadia City Precinct NO.5 and Arcadia City Pre- cinct No. 6 she,ll be consolidated and designated as Arcadia City Consolidated Precinct No.3, which said Arcadia City Consolidated Precinct No. 3 shall consist of and be coextensive with said Ar- ~ cadia City Precincts Nos. 5 and o. That Said City Council will meet at its usual place of meeting on Monday, April 16, 1925, at the hour of eight o'clock p, M. to canvass the returns of said Election and declare the re suI t thereof. The CityClerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published three suc- cessive weeks in The Arcadia News, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of Arcadia.
