THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
That that certain Grant Deed, dated January 31,1929,
executed by Alvar A. Landry and Vinnie L. Landry, his wife, for
a consideration of $10.00, granting to the City of Arcadia, a
municipal corporation, all that certain real property situate in
the City of Arcadia, Cpunty of Los Angeles, State of,California,
and more particularly described in said Grant Deed, be and the
same is hereby accepted by said City of Arcadia.
The undersigned, City Clerk of the City of Arcadia,

Lots 19 and 20 in Block 7~, as shown on the map
of a part of Arcadia, in the City of Arcadia, County of
Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in
Book 15 Pages 89 and 90, IU scellaneous Records of said
County.
This Guarantee is issued upon the following conditions and stipulations:
1. The liability of this Company shall in DO case exceed in all the amount stated on the first page hereof and shall in all
cases be limited to the actual loss of the persons and corporations for whose benefit and protection this Guarantee is issued as
their respective interests may appear, provided, that each subsequent owner or pledgee of any indebtedness secured by mortgage
or deed of trust shown herein, shall be entitled to, and shall have, all the protechon, rights and remedies secured to the original
owner thereof by the issuance of this Guarantee.
2. This Guarantee does not include examination or report as to action by any governmental agency for the purpose of
regulating occupancy or use of the land herein described, or any building or structure thereon.

3. TAXES ARE LEVIED ON BOTH ,REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY as it
exists at 12 o'clock noon on the first Monda.y in March. Subsequent removal or change of
ownenlup docs not relieve the real- estate of the personal property tax hen, and the Tax
Collector cannot credit payments for real property taxes unless the personal property tax has

:4, TAX BILLS WILL BE.PRE-MAILED ONLY TO TAXPAYERS_ WHO_HAVE
FILED A STATEMENT WITH THE COUNTY ASSESSOR between the first Monday in
March and the first day in June EACH .YEAR, of alt taxable property, Real and Personil1,
owned by them, in their possession or under their control at 12 o'clock Noon on the first Mon-
day in March of that year.
Tax bills ~ot received prior to October 31st under the above pre-mailing service, must be
obtamed at the County Tax Collector's Office in the usual way, and taxpayers should not
'further delay procuring them. '
5. EX-SOLDIERS, THEIR WIDOWS, ETC., residents in Cahfornia, are entitled -to
, a deduction of $1,000.00 from the assessed valuation of their property for taxatIon purpOses;
provided the total value of. all property owned by them, whether taxable or non-taxable, and
no matter where located, is less than_$5,OOO.OO; and prOVided the claim for such deduction IS

6. PROPERTY DESCRIPTIONS.: Property assessments cannot be located on the
Assessment Roll by house or street numbers. Taxpayers shouId give a full legal descrip-
tion of the same as It appears ui the deed, certificate of title, or previous County tax bIll,
preferably the latter. ' :
7, THE TAX COLLECTOR CANNOT CHANGE ASSESSMENTS, -The Board of
Equalization meets the first two weeks In July each year and during thiS penod the taxpayers
may inspect the1r assessments and make apphcati9n for adjustments, changes, etc.
. 8. MUNICIPAL TAXES. .Tne municipal taxes 'are payable to the Tax Collectors of
Incorporated cities, unless tax rates, stamped hereon,' indicate that municipal taxes are in-

g, DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TAXES. Taxes on Drainage-;Improve-
. ment District Nos. 1 and 3,.become due and ,payable at the same time as the general taxes, and

11. THE DELINQUENT TAX LIST IS PUBLISHED on Or abont the 8th day of
June each year in The Los Angeles Daily }.ourna! Said publication states the date when the
delinquent property will be sold to the State for, ,lion-payment of taxes' (about June 30th) and
the amount due. r
The above publication will also contain an...Addenda list of properties upon which taxes
