A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
AOCEPTING CERTAIN DEEDS OR AGREEMENTS PERTAINING TO THE WIDENING
OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the following ~eeds or agreements executed
by the following named person or persons oonveying real property
to the City of Aroadia for street and highway purposes be and they
are hereby acoepted.
1. An agreement subordinating deed of trust to easement,
executed by Security First National Bank of Los Angeles, holder of
a certain deed of trust executed by Jefferson L. Byrne and Ella M.
Byrne, to Los Angeles Trust & Safe Deposit Company, recorded in
book 12786, page 234 of official records.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held
on the 15th day of October 1935, by the affirmative vote of at
least three Counoilmen, to-wit:
AYES: councilmen Daniels, HOffman, Krebs and McLean.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen Corby.

AGREEMENT SUBORDWATING DEED OF TRUST TO EASEMENT
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That Whereas, SECURrrY-FIRST NATIONAL
BANK OF LOS ANGELES, a national banking association, is the owner and holder
of a certain Deed of Trust executed by J.l,.lf~'.lia:tSON L. BYRNE and ELLA M. BYRNE,
his wife, as Trustors, to LOS A1,GELES TRUST & SAFE DEPOSrr COMPANY, a corpor-
ation, as Trustee, to secure the payment of a certain promissory note, which
Deed of Trust was recorded June 12, 1934, in Book 12786, Page 234, of Official
Records of Los Angeles County, and affects the following described and other
real property in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, to wit:
Lots Five (5) and Six (6), Block Seventy-four (74), Arcadia
Santa Anita Tract, in the City of Arcadia, as per map re-
corded in Book 15, Pages 89 and 90, Miscellaneous Records,
in the office of the County Recorder of said County, EXCEPT
the South ten (10) feet of said Lots conveyed to the City of
Arcadia for street purposes.
WHEREAS, the City of Arcadia, a Municipal Corporation of Los Angeles

County, California, has ac~uired an Easement for Public Street and Highway
purposes over a portion of the property described above, which said portion
is described as follows, to wit:
The Northerly Ten (10) feet of the Southerly Twenty (20) feet
of Lots Five (5) and Six (6) in Block Seventy-four (74) of
Arcadia Santa Anita Tract, in the City of Arcadia, County of
Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book
15, Pages 89 and 90, l~scellaneous Records of said County.
WHEREAS, the City of Arcadia and the owners of said property have re-
~uested the said Security-First National Bank of Los Angeles and the said
Los Angeles Trust & Safe Deposit Company to subordinate the effect and lien
of said Deed of Trust to that of said Easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, for a valuable consideration, the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged, the said Security-First National Bank of Los Angeles .and
the said Los Angeles Trust & Safe Deposit Company do hereby agree that said
Deed of Trust shall by this instrument be made subordinate to that of said
Easement and shall hereby constitute a lien on the aforesaid strip of land as
covered by said Easement, second and subject to said Easement, with the express
agreement, that .the lien of said Deed of Trust shall remain a lien on the prop-
ty, in, under, over, along and across, which said Easement has(been granted,

subject only to said Easement, that in all other respects said note and deed
of trust, and all the terms and provisions th.,ereof, shall remain in the same
full force and effect as if this agreement had not been entered into.

of the City of Aroadia at a regular adjourned meeting held on
September 11th. 1935. by the adoption of Resolution No. 782.
formally aocepted and approved your exeouted.Right of Way
Contraot No. BB-A. dated May 3rd. 1935. in oonneotion with the
proposed widening of the Huntington Drive from Santa Anita Avenue
to Seoond Avenue in the Oity of Aroadia.
Under the terms of the above mentioned Right of Way
Contraot. the City of Arcadia promisee to psy to the Grantor the
sum of eZ75.00 as aOOD BS all of the exieting improvements are
removed from the new high~ay rlgh~ of. way and notification Is
hereby given that the City of Aroadie has received from the state
of Gnllfornia suffioient tunds to pay the above named amount of
money and that the work or removing the existing improvements by
the Grantor should be started and oompleted as Boon as possible
in order to avoid delay of the highway improvement.
