HomeMy WebLinkAbout2990RESOLUTION NO. 2990 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ESTABLISH A SETBACK LINE ON A PORTION OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE BETWEEN SAN RAFAEL ROAD AND MORLAN PLACE IN SAID CITY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience re- quire and it is the intention of the City Council to establish a setback line sixty -five (65) feet north of the center line of Hunt- ington Drive affecting the following described property on the north side of Huntington Drive in said city, to wit: That portion of the Rancho Santa Anita, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, bein, a portion of the right of way (60 feet wide described in deed to the Pacific Electric Railway Company recorded in Book 1574, page 292, of Deeds, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, described as follows; Bounded on the southwest by the north line of Huntington Drive, 100 feet in width, and on the northeast by a line which is parallel with and distant 200 feet measured along the south- east line of said right of way from the north line of said Huntington Drive, and being lo- cated east of 101 West Huntington Drive. SECTION 2. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, April 1, 1958, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. of said day, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of said City, located at 240 West Huntington Drive, any and all persons having any objections to the said proposed set- back may appear before said Council and show cause why said setback line should not be established. SECTION 3. The Superintendent of Streets shall post or cause to be posted the notices required by Ordinance No. 229 of the City of Arcadia,. -1- 2990 SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general circu- lation, published and circulated in the City of Arcadia. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held an the 4th day of March, 1958, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: A AYES: Councilmen Camphouse, Jacobi, Phillips, Reibold and Dennis NOES: None ABSENT: None City Clerk of the City of Arcadia SIGNED AND APPROVED this 4th day oC- 114rch, 1958.
