DEFINITION OF TERMS
The followmg terms when used In thiS
poliCY mean
(a) "'and" [he land described, speCific,

constitute real property,
(b) "public records' those records
which Impart constructive nohce of matters
relating to said land,
(e) "knowledge", actual knowledge, not
constructive knowledge or notICe whICh
may be Imputed to the Insured by reason
of any publtc records,
(d) "date" the effective date,
(e) "mortgage" mortgage, deed of trust,
trust deed, or other security Instrument, and
(f) "msured" the party or partles named
as Insured, and If the owner of the 10-
debtedness secured by a mortgage shown III
Schedule B 15 named as an Insured In
Schedule A, the Insured shall mclude (1)
each successor In Interest In ownershIp of
such Indebtedness, (2) any such owner who
acqUires the estate or Interest referred to

THIS POLICY

or regulatmg or prohlbltlOg the occupancy,

the character, dimenSIOns, or locatIOn of

Schedule C, or title to streets, roads, ave-
nues, lanes, ways or waterways on whICh

4, DEFENSE AND PROSECUTION OF ACTIONS

Re: Acquisition of Combined Yard Slte - 18 South Fourth
Avenue
Gentlemen:
Mr, and Mrs. Taube and Mr. and Mrs, McGrane, owners of the property at
18 South Fourth Avenue, have agreed to sell the property for the sum of $14, 500
which has been approved by the Land Acquisition and Disposal Committee,
The property is described as follows:
Parcel XVI
"Lot 1 0, and the north 1 0 feet of lot 11, of Tract 8 504, in the City
of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of Californla, as per map
recorded in book 107, page 56 of Maps, in the office of the County
Recorder of said County
and
That portion of Fourth Avenue, as shown on the map of Tract 8504, in
the Clty of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California as per
map recorded in book 107, page 56 of Maps, which would pass wit.h a
conveyance of the property as hereinabove described. "

It is therefore recommended that the Clty Council authorize the purchase of the
descnbed property for the sum of $14, 500 Wlth the nght of the seller to occupy
said property up to October 1, 1964 with no payment to the City for said occupancy
and also the seller to have the nght to remove the 20' x 10' building located on the
rear of the property. Said building shall be removed by November 1, 1964.
It is further recommended that the City Manager and Clty Attorney be authorized
to take the necessary steps to acquire said property and that the Sum of $14, 700
