Gentlemen:
Mr, and Mrs, Vincenzo Toscano, 1331 Santo Domingo Drive, Duarte, agreed to
sell the property they Own at 25 South Fifth Avenue for the sum of $16, 000 Wh1Ch
has been approved by the Land Acquis1tion and Disposal Committee. The property
1S described as follows:
Parcel VI
"The northerly 50 feet of that portion of lot 9 of Tract No. 5205, m the City
of Arcadia, in the County of Los Angeles, State of Californ1a, as per map
recorded in book 54 page 61 of Maps, in the Off1ce of the County Recorder
of said County, descnbed as follows:
Beginning at a point in the easterly line of said lot 9, distant southerly
thereon 300 feet from the northeasterly corner of said lot, thence southerly
along said easterly hne 100 feet; thence westerly parallel with the northerly
line of said lot 195, 35 feet to the westerly line of said lot 9; thence northerly
along said westerly line 100 feet to a point which bears westerly parallel w1th
said northerly line, from the point of beginlllng; thence easterly parallel with
said northerly hne 195.35 feet to the point of begmning,"
It lS therefore recommended that the City Council authorize the purchase of the
above described property for the sum of $16, 000 with the right of seller to occupy
said property up to October I, 1964 and further to authorize the Clty Manager and
Clty Attorney to take the necessary steps to acquire Bald property,
It 1S further recommended that the sum of $16, 200 be appropriated from Reserve
for Capital Projects Account No. 285 in the General Fund and transferred to
Cap1tal Improvement Projects Account No, 302 - Property Purchase - Combined
