"Conununication \Vas read from the City Engineer in reference to
Tre.ct No. 14665 10catod on Fourth Avenue, and being improved by Mr. '
Dale Turner., who has agreed to pay all the expenses of improving that
portion of the future street which will become a p~rtion of Fourth
Avenue, and pay approximately one-half of the expense of the improve-
ment of Fifth Avenue from his, Tract south and to Longden Avenue. Mr.
Watson reconunendedthat the City 'acquire the land for the opening of
Fifth Avenue tram the Tract to Longden Avenue, and t~t the City pay
~2,OOO.00 towards its improvement. '

Motion by 'Councilman Klomp, that the' recommendation of :~r. Watson
for the acquisition of the land for tho opening of Fifth Avenue at a
cost of ~5,500.00 and for improvements thereon in the, amount of ;)2,000.00,
be approved and tha t the City Engineer be authorized to make the necessary
arrangements. Said motion was seconded by Councilman Boucher and carried

It is our understanding that the City of Arcadia is procuring
the property between our Tract 14665 and Longden Ave.~This
property is to be used for the location of ~th AVRnue connec-
ting Tract 14665 with Longden Avenue. ' --
We understand that you wish us to arrange for the construction
of this street, and that upon completion of same to city speci-
fications, two-thousand dollars and nO/l00 ($2,000.00) will be
due and payable by the City of Arcadia to this organization.
Please confirm the approval of our proceeding with this street
improvement, and our billing the City of Arcadia for the sum of
two-thousand dollars upon completion.
