I am in receipt of a letter from the Supervisor, H~rt C. legg, under date of March 6, referring to this City.~;4(esolution No. 2713. This pertains to the Hunti~gion Drive Right ~Way through Arcadia. Mr. legg's offIce advises me that the County Road Commissioner, Mr. Sam. R. Kennedy, has reported to them that this Right of Way --- the abandoned~Ea.cli.lc El~"c1:.r:Lc R1.9ht of Way. --- Is beIng acquired as a part of the-Iong-terffilpro~ram-s~t-up-by the Board of SupervIsors In 1953. The County Road Commissioner voices no opposItion to transferrIng title to the abandoned Pacific Electric Right of Way to the City of Arcadia. In his report to the Board of Supervisors, Mr. Kennedy states that It should be noted that the program of acquisition Is less than half completed. This program consumes a substantial portion of the "Highway Through CIties" fund. At this time tbe County does not contemplate participatIon In any construction on the Rights of Way beIng acquired through this program of acquisition.
