The Agency received a request to adjust the acquisition price for property at 215-223 E. Huntington Drive due to a miscalculation in the final price. The purchase price was submitted as $197,120 whereas the correct amount should have been $199,750. As part of the Agreement with the owner to hold the property for Agency acquisition at a firm price the owner required that the only adjustment would be for compen- sation of property taxes. Whereupon it was MOVED by Member Lauber, seconded by Member Margett and carried on roll call vote as follows that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare an amendment to ARA 32 to change the purchase price for said property from the Hygiene Products from $197,120 to $199,750 with no other changes in the terms of purchase. Same to come back to the Agency. AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Members Gilb, Lauber, Margett, Parry, Saelid None None The Agency was advised of a request from Robert Atkins for a 120 day extension from this date in the "Agreement to Negotiate" with the Agency for the purpose of locating a site of 50,000 sq. ft. of office space. The extension is requested so that a final development package may be put together, including development of final proposals and appropriate disposition and development agreements. The $2,500 good faith deposit would remain in effect. The Economic Coordinator responded to questions propounded by Agency members, in part, that the Agency is working with anyone who can be of assistance in locating a proper site for Mr. Atkins; that the agreement does relate to the project area but does not preclude a site in another area if an appropriate site presents itself. In response to a specific question as to whether or not a specific location is being held for Mr. Atkins at a specific price, Mr. Pollard stated in part that the subject property is not being held for Mr. Atkins; that Mr. Atkins would like to continue negotiations in good faith and that if there is any misunderstanding due to the way in which the request from Mr. Atkins is worded this could be remedied. It was then MOVED by Member Gilb, seconded by Member Lauber and carried on roll call vote as follows that the Agreement with Robert Atkins be extended for a period of 120 days from April 19, 1977 and that the Economic Coordinator explain in a communication to Mr. Atkins that a specific location is not being held.. .with a copy of the letter to the Agency members.
