HomeMy WebLinkAboutJUNE 7,1977 1 ROLL CALL MINUTE APPROVAL APPRAISAL AUTHORIZED 1 MINUTES ARCADIA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY REGULAR MEETING JUNE 7, 1977 The Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met in regular session on June 7, 1977 at 9:30 p.m. in the Arcadia City Hall Council Chamber. PRESENT: ABSENT: Members Gilb, Lauber, Margett, Parry,Saelid None On MOTION by Member Gilb, seconded by Member Margett and carried the minutes of the regular meeting of May 3, 1977 were APPROVED. The Executive Director explained that efforts are being continued to locate a 50,000 sq. ft. office building site in the downtown area pursuant to an Agreement to Negotiate with Robert Atkins and re- commended the appraisal of certain properties in the Santa Anita and St. Joseph Street vicinity at a cost not to exceed $2,050. Discussion ensued on the payment of the appraisal fee and during this consideration Gordon Maddock, President of the Arcadia Board of Realtors, submitted the capability of the Board to perform this' function for the City. He submitted alternate processes. The legal aspects of the agreement were explained and it was MOVED by Member Lauber, seconded by Member Gilb and carried on roll call vote as follows that an expenditure of not more than $2,050 be authorized for this work and that Lawrence D. Brown be retained therefor. AYES: NOES: ABSTAIN: ABSENT: Members Gilb, Lauber, Margett, Saelid None Member Parry, due to his business affiliation None The meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m. sine die.
