HomeMy WebLinkAboutAPRIL 18,1978 I 1 ROLL CALL MINUTE APPROVAL DECLARATION AGENCY MEMBER G & S TOWING RENT OFF ICE PIANS (Fourth & Huntington) ADJOURNMENT TO DATE CERTAIN t , I , "'- MINUTES ARCADIA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY REGULAR MEETING APRIL 18, 1978 The Arcadia Redevelopment Agency met in regular session on April 18, 1978 PRESENT: ABSENT: Members Gilb, Margett, Pellegrino, Saelid, Parry None On MOTION by Member Margett, seconded by Member Saelid and unanimously the minutes of the regular meeting of March 21 APPROVED. carried were Pursuant to the Redevelopment Law a new member of the Agency must declare if he owns property in a redevelopment area. Whereupon Member Pellegrino made the following statement for the record: "I, DONALD D. PELLEGRINO, HEREBY DECLARE THAT I AM THE OWNER OF RESIDENTIAL INCOME PROPERTY LOCATED AT 129, 135, 139 ALTA STREET, ARCADIA, CA., IN THE ARCADIA REDEVELOPMENT AREA." In connection with the construction at 130 E. Santa Clara Street the property leased to G & S Towing SerVice was excavated to install underground utility services,,' Because .of, these requirements G & S were not able to fully-use 'the-'lot during portions of March and April and to compensate for this loss the staff recommended rent for the month of May be reduced by $150.00. (The monthly rent is $300). It was MOVED by Member Gilb, seconded by Member Saelid and carried on roll call vote as follows that the rent for the month of May be reduced by $150. AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Members Gilb, Margett, Pellegrino, Saelid, Parry None None The Agency received plans for an office development at 334 E. Huntington Drive. These have been reviewed and approved by the Public Works, Planning and Building Divisions, however, because the project is in the redevelopment area they require Agency approval. The owner, Ken Mullen, responded to questions concerning construction material and landscaping. Recommendations were considered and it was MOVED by Member Gilb, seconded by Member Saelid and carried unanimously that the development plans be approved and that the Agency staff in cooperation with the Planning Department prepare a sketch landscape planting layout to provide the developer with a design in implementing the said recommendations, and that these landscaping plans meet all requirements.
